Google Rolls Out AI Mode in Search for Indian Users, Here’s How It Works

0

Highlights

  • Google Search AI Mode now rolls out in India.
  • It delivers detailed, context-rich answers directly in Search, powered by the Gemini 2.5 model and “query fan-out” technique.
  • It is now rolling out widely in India without sign-up, though it currently supports only English.
  • It is accessible via the “AI Mode” tab in Search or the Google app.

Google is now rolling out its AI Mode in Search to users across India. This new feature is built right into the regular Google Search and brings detailed, AI-generated answers instead of just a list of links. You can ask anything, any way and get complete, context-rich responses directly in your search results.

Google first launched AI Mode in the U.S. earlier this year. It was introduced to Indian users via Search Labs in June, but now it’s being rolled out more widely and you don’t need to sign up anymore. For now, though, it’s only available in English.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced the rollout for Indian users on X (formerly Twitter).

What Is Google AI Mode in Search?

AI Mode gives you a fully written-out response that pulls together information from all over the internet, instead of showing just websites. It’s especially helpful for layered or complex questions that would normally require multiple searches.

The system is powered by Google’s Gemini 2.5 model, which breaks your query into smaller parts, finds relevant content, and combines it into a neat, easy-to-read summary. You’ll also get links for more info and the option to ask follow-up questions.

Google says AI Mode shines when you’re exploring topics like comparing products, planning a trip, or understanding something technical. According to the company, users ask questions that are 2–3 times longer than usual, often looking for in-depth advice or guidance.

Behind the scenes, AI Mode uses a technique called “query fan-out” as it splits your question into smaller parts, does multiple searches, and pieces together the results into one helpful answer. This helps it go deeper and even uncover content that standard searches might miss.

How to Use Google Search AI Mode?

You can access AI Mode through a new “AI Mode” tab in your Google Search results or right from the Google app’s search bar. You can type your question, use voice input, or even upload a photo using Google Lens.

For example, take a picture of a plant and ask how to care for it. You’ll get step-by-step instructions and links to trusted sources.

Availability

Currently, AI Mode only supports English, though Google says more languages will come later. It’s also still experimental, so if the AI isn’t confident in its answer, you’ll still see regular search results.

The feature is rolling out gradually, so it may take a few days to appear for everyone on both desktop and mobile.

FAQs

Q1. What is Google AI Mode in Search and how does it work?

Answer. AI Mode gives you a fully written-out response that pulls together information from all over the internet, instead of showing just websites.

Q2. How can users access AI Mode in Google Search?

Samsung Unveils Galaxy Watch 8 & Watch 8 Classic with Bold New Design, Wear OS 6, and Gemini AI from $349

0

Highlights

  • The Galaxy Watch 8 series introduces a new “cushion” design blending circular and square elements, a slimmer profile and sapphire crystal displays.
  • Both watches are powered by the Exynos W1000 chip and Wear OS 6.
  • They offer enhanced GPS, sleep tracking with Bedtime Guidance and Vascular Load and debut Samsung’s Gemini AI.
  • The Watch 8 starts at $349 (40mm/44mm), Watch 8 Classic at $499 (46mm) with pre-orders open now.

image

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic, introducing a fresh new design, smarter health tracking, and built-in Gemini AI, all running on Wear OS 6. Here’s everything you need to know about the newly launched Galaxy Watches.

Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic

One of the biggest changes is the new “cushion” design that blends circular and square elements. This marks a shift from the traditional round shape, even for the Watch 8 Classic, which has always stuck to a classic circular style. It’s a bold move that might split opinions, but it’s aimed at delivering more comfort and a sleeker feel.

Samsung says the Watch 8 is now 11% slimmer than before, thanks to a new internal layout and component mounting process. It also uses the Dynamic Lug system first seen in last year’s Watch Ultra, allowing for a more adaptable fit.

image

Both the Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic come with a sapphire crystal display that offers a brighter viewing experience. Inside, they’re powered by the new Exynos W1000 chip, paired with 2GB RAM. The Watch 8 Classic gets up to 64GB of internal storage, while both watches come with batteries around 435–445mAh, decent for a daily smartwatch, though not meant for multi-day endurance like the Watch Ultra.

Health features see solid upgrades too. GPS accuracy has improved, making the Running Coach more precise. The sleep suite now includes Bedtime Guidance, helping you know when to wind down, and a Vascular Load feature that tracks stress during sleep. A new Antioxidant Index also lets users monitor carotenoid levels to get quick insights into their health.

image

Perhaps most exciting, the Galaxy Watch 8 series is the first to ship with Gemini AI, Samsung’s version of Google’s Gemini assistant. It’s baked right into Wear OS 6 and One UI Watch 8, bringing features like the Now Bar, which was previously seen only on the Galaxy S25 series.

Price and Availability

In terms of colours and sizes:

  • Galaxy Watch 8: Graphite and Silver, available in 40mm and 44mm
  • Watch 8 Classic: Black and White, available in a single 46mm size
  • Pricing: Watch 8 starts at $349, Classic starts at $499

Samsung also introduced a new Galaxy Watch Ultra in Titanium Blue for $649.

All three watches are now available for pre-order on Samsung’s official website. Samsung is also offering early bird deals like a $50 credit (valid for 30 minutes through special links), boosted trade-in offers up to $1,000 for the new Fold 7 and Flip 7, and free storage upgrades with select purchases.

Samsung Launches Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 and Z Flip 7 FE with Slimmer Designs, Bigger Screens and Smarter Features

0

Highlights

  • Samsung Electronics has unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 and Z Flip 7 FE at Galaxy Unpacked 2025 in Brooklyn.
  • The Fold 7 gets a 200MP camera and Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, while the Flip 7 introduces a larger 4.1″ cover screen and Exynos 2500 processor.
  • Flip 7 FE retains core features like a 6.7″ AMOLED display and 50MP camera, while trimming extras to lower the price.

Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, marking the biggest upgrade to its foldable lineup since 2020. Both devices come with slimmer builds, larger displays, longer software support and a comprehensive AI support. And with all that, the prices have gone up too.

image

Introducing the new devices, Samsung President TM Roh said, “Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 represent the pinnacle of our innovation. These foldables are setting a new path, taking phones to another dimension with our most powerful transformative hardware. Our latest camera sees, understands, and responds to you. Now, the Ultra experience is ready to unfold.”

“AI has rapidly evolved from text-based prompts to multimodal understanding. We have accelerated adoption of AI for smartphones for all, Galaxy AI has become your very own human-like AI companion. Elevating the way you live every day. Galaxy AI was built with privacy at its core, helping your data stay protected at all times,” said Roh.

“In the mobile AI era, you need something beyond. Your smartphone must be your companion capable of understanding context, supporting you in real time, and adapting to your lifestyle. With high-quality performance and AI to elevate your life. Galaxy Z Fold 7 meets these needs,” Roh added.

Here’s more about both foldables.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7

image

The new Galaxy Z Fold 7 is a major design leap. It’s now just 8.9mm thick when closed, down from 12.1mm on last year’s Fold 6. Opened up, it’s only 4.2mm thick. The device also sheds weight, dropping from 239g to 217g, and comes with IP48 dust and water resistance, improving durability.

The displays have been upgraded, too. The outer screen is now 6.5 inches with a more natural 2520×1080 resolution, while the inner screen expands to 8 inches. Unfortunately, S Pen support is gone on the main screen, a trade-off for the slimmer build and improved durability.

On the camera front, the Fold 7 now features a 200MP main sensor, along with a 12MP ultrawide and a 10MP telephoto. Both the inner and outer screens now have the same 10MP selfie camera, ditching the under-display camera used in the past.

image

Under the hood, the Fold 7 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB. The 4,400mAh battery stays the same with 25W charging.

It ships with Android 16 and One UI 8, and Samsung promises 7 years of OS and security updates.

image

It comes in Jet Black, Silver Shadow, Blue Shadow, and a Mint colour exclusive to Samsung.com. Pricing starts at $1,999.99 for the 12/256GB model, a $100 hike from last year.

Pre-orders come with trade-in offers worth up to $1,150.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7

image

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 keeps its familiar design but is now slimmer when folded at 13.7mm, down from 14.9mm. It’s also a gram heavier, but the real standout is the much larger 4.1-inch cover display, a major step up from last year’s 3.4-inch panel. It also features 2,600 nits peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. The main screen also grows slightly, now at 6.9 inches.

image

Software for the cover display gets some fresh features like Now Bar, Now Brief, and Gemini Live, although it still lags behind Motorola’s Razr when it comes to full third-party app support. It ships with One UI 8 and supports the Multistar shortcut for easier customisation.

This year, Samsung switches to its in-house Exynos 2500 chip, its first on a 3nm process, aiming for better efficiency.

image

The Flip 7 keeps the 50MP main and 12MP ultrawide cameras, but now supports 10-bit HDR video and a new Zoom Slider for better zoom control. Battery size increases to 4,300mAh, but charging remains capped at 25W.

There is also Samsung DeX support finally available on the Flip lineup, allowing users to connect the phone to a monitor for a desktop-like experience.

image

The Flip 7 price starts at $1,100. It’s available in Jet Black, Blue Shadow, Coral Red, and a Mint option exclusive to Samsung.com, with 256GB or 512GB storage.

image

Samsung is offering its new 7-year update promise for both foldables, giving users longer-term software peace of mind.

Both phones are available for pre-order via Samsung.com, Best Buy, and Amazon, with open sales starting July 25th.

Samsung Unveils More Affordable Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE at $899

image

Samsung has finally made its foldable phones a bit more budget-friendly by launching the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. It’s an FE (Fan Edition) version of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and brings many of the same features while cutting back on some extras to hit a lower price point.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is basically a trimmed-down version of the regular Flip 7. It keeps the essentials but skips on some premium features. Still, what you get for the price is pretty solid.

Powering the Flip 7 FE is Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset, the same one used in the standard Flip 7. It comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The regular Flip 7 offers more RAM options, but performance-wise, both should feel quite similar in daily use.

image

On the front, you still get a 6.7-inch AMOLED 2X inner display, just like the main Flip 7. The outer cover screen, however, is smaller. It’s the same size as what we saw on the Flip 6.

Battery capacity has also been slightly reduced. The Flip 7 FE packs a 4,000mAh battery, which is 300mAh less than the Flip 7. But it still supports 25W fast charging and Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, so it should hold up fine in daily use.

Camera-wise, the FE version includes two rear sensors, a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide.

The Flip 7 FE will run Android 16 right out of the box, just like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. This marks the first time Samsung is shipping foldables with a new version of Android at launch, and it means One UI 8 is likely arriving soon.

image

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE comes in two colours, Black and White. The price for this one starts at $899. It’s now up for pre-order on Samsung’s official website. If you order early, you can get a $50 credit (valid for 30 minutes after checkout), free storage upgrade, and enhanced trade-in offers.

As expected, Samsung is reportedly sticking with the 5,000mAh battery for another year. While other brands like OnePlus and Nothing are moving towards silicon-carbon batteries, Samsung appears to be avoiding the tech, possibly due to lingering caution after the Note 7 incident.

It is important to note that silicon-carbon batteries allow for slimmer phones with bigger batteries

Now, that might sound disappointing but there’s plenty to look forward to.

The leak confirms that the 200MP main camera is staying, though it’s unclear if it’ll be the exact same sensor. The leak also confirms the 50MP 5x periscope telephoto lens will return. The interesting change is to the 3x telephoto sensor, which is reportedly being upgraded to 12MP.

Ice Universe says he’s “90 per cent” sure about this move, and even though megapixels don’t tell the whole story, it should mean at least a bump in resolution over the current 10MP sensor on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Another major improvement could be the slimmer design. Despite using the same battery size, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to be thinner than the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which many users found a bit bulky. Samsung might be applying some of the design efficiencies learned from building the Galaxy Z Fold 7 to make this possible.

Ice Universe also believes faster charging is on the cards for the new Ultra, though exact details are still under wraps.

Anyhow, the Galaxy S26 series isn’t expected to launch until January 2026, following Samsung’s usual schedule. Until then, Samsung is focused on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, which are open for reservation now. Early sign-ups can get a $50 credit, triple reward points, and savings of up to $1,150+ with no obligation to buy.

Moto G96 5G – Unboxing

Let’s start with a quick unboxing.

You get the phone in Moto’s signature plastic-free packaging. And it comes bearing the essentials, which include a 33W charger, USB cable, guides and a SIM tool. There is no case in the box, in case you are wondering. So, now let’s move to the design.

Moto G96 5G – Design

Moto G96 5G – Design

At first glance, Moto G96 5G looks like a phone that you have seen before. Motorola has quite clearly decided to keep things familiar even while introducing minor changes in design.

The phones come in multiple colour options, including Greener Pastures, Cattleya Orchid, Ashleigh Blue, and Dresden Blue. All the colour shades have been made in collaboration with PANTONE, a company that maintains the Colour Matching System worldwide.

We have the Greener Pastures colour variant and at first impression, it looks quite rich. The vegan leather back panel combined with the 3D Curved pOLED Display makes the phone look nothing but premium. The phone is slim at 7.93mm thickness and quite lightweight at just 178g.

Moto says it is the lightest phone in the segment with an ultra-thin design. It does feel comfortable in the hand because of the lightweight design and slim yet flat frame. This is also an advantage of Moto’s design philosophy, these phones always feel great in hand.

It has the usual ports such as the SIM tray, Microphone, USB Type-C Port and Speakers at the bottom, and a noise-cancelling microphone on the top. The power button and volume rockers are on the right-hand side of the phone.

The overall design language will remind you of some of the previous Moto phones, but we are not saying that as a point of complaint. This combination of vegan leather back with Pantone curated colours has been working for Moto and there is no reason not to like it.

iPhone 17e Expected Next Spring With Same Display as iPhone 16e: Report

0

Highlights

  • The iPhone 17e is reportedly set to launch in spring 2025, following the iPhone 16e’s February debut.
  • It will reuse the OLED panel from the iPhone 16e, which originally came from the iPhone 14.
  • The 17e is expected to be a modest refresh, part of Apple’s strategy to stagger launches, Pro models first followed by standard and “e” models.
image

A new supply-chain report says the iPhone 17e is set to launch next spring, which lines up with earlier rumours. But if you were hoping for big changes, don’t get too excited. The report also mentions that it will use the same display as the iPhone 16e. Here’s what we know.

iPhone 17e – What To Expect?

When Apple replaced the iPhone SE with the iPhone 16e, many wondered if the change in name signaled a move to yearly updates, unlike the irregular refreshes the SE received. That idea got more support when leaker Fixed Focus Digital spotted a product code that seemed to point to an iPhone 17e.

They later confirmed that the phone had entered trial production, which is a strong sign of a release in the coming year.

Now, TheElec has backed that up, reporting a spring launch window. While the iPhone 16e launched this February, a spring release could mean the 17e might arrive a little later. Spring officially starts on March 20.

The report also discloses some key details about the display. TheElec report reads, “It was learned today that Apple plans to launch the entry-level organic light-emitting diode (OLED) iPhone 17e next spring. The panel reuses OLED for iPhone 16e.”

Interestingly, that same screen was originally used on the iPhone 14, meaning Apple is likely sticking with tried-and-tested components for its budget-friendly model.

Coming back to the launch window, Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted a first-half 2025 launch and even shared that a third-generation “e” model is expected to arrive in early 2027, alongside the standard iPhone 18.

Apple is said to be shifting to a split iPhone launch strategy, with the iPhone 18 Pro models arriving first, followed by the standard iPhone 18 and 18e six months later. This would help Apple manage production better and boost flagship sales before releasing its more affordable models.

As of now, we don’t know much else, but it seems the iPhone 17e will likely be a modest upgrade focused on keeping things simple and cost-effective.

FAQs

Q1. When is the iPhone 17e expected to launch?

Answer. Apple plans to launch the entry-level organic light-emitting diode (OLED) iPhone 17e next spring.

Q2. What display will the iPhone 17e use?

Answer. The panel reuses OLED for iPhone 16e. That same screen was originally used on the iPhone 14.

Q3. What kind of upgrade is the iPhone 17e expected to be?

Answer. It seems the iPhone 17e will likely be a modest upgrade focused on keeping things simple and cost-effective.

iPhone 17 Air Dummy Hands-On Video Shows Ultra-Thin Design, Might Get “Very Light” Blue Colour Option

0

Highlights

  • A hands-on video of a dummy unit shows the iPhone 17 Air with a sleek, ultra-thin body and a single rear camera in a full-width camera bar.
  • A leaker claims the main colour will be a “very light blue” similar to Apple’s past “barely blue” finishes.
  • Leaks suggest reduced bezels seen on the iPhone 17 Pro and Air may also appear on the base iPhone 17, hinting at a more uniform design.

We’re still a couple of months away from Apple officially unveiling the iPhone 17 lineup, but leaks and speculations are keeping us informed. After many images and dummy units look, a new hands-on video is now giving us a close look at what could be the iPhone 17 Air.

iPhone 17 Air – Hands-On Video

image

The dummy unit hands-on video, shared by leaker Majin Bu on X (formerly Twitter), shows off the iPhone 17 Air in a sleek black finish. Compared to the thicker and bulkier iPhone 17 Pro Max dummy he showed earlier, this new model looks much slimmer and lighter.

One of the key design features is a single rear camera housed in a full-width camera bar, giving it a distinct look from Apple’s current iPhones.

The contrast between the iPhone 17 Air and the Pro Max is stark, and the thinner design hints that Apple might be focusing more on portability and simplicity with this variant.

iPhone 17 Air – “Very Light” Blue Colour Option

Alongside the hands-on video, another leak suggests a possible new colour option for the iPhone 17 Air. Tipster Fixed focus digital on Weibo has a mixed track record when it comes to claims. But Fixed focus digital recently posted that the main colour for the device will be a “very light” blue, so light that it might look white in certain lighting.

image
Fixed focus digital’s recent post on Weibo. (Translated via Google Translate)

The leaker even describes it as similar to Apple’s previous “barely blue” finishes like the Sierra Blue from the iPhone 13 Pro or the Sky Blue from the M4 MacBook Air.

While it’s unclear why this is being called the “main” colour, it’s possible Apple will highlight it in marketing as the fresh, standout shade for this model.

In another interesting twist, leaks also hint that the reduced bezels expected on the iPhone 17 Pro and Air could also make their way to the base iPhone 17, bringing a more uniform design across the lineup.
