Google has unveiled Flight Deals, a new AI-driven tool designed to help travellers quickly find the best flight fares. The AI tool has been integrated into Google Flights, Google’s flight search platform for users to compare prices and book tickets directly with airlines or through travel partners. Flight Deals is aimed at travellers prioritising savings.

“Flight Deals is designed for flexible travellers whose number one goal is saving money on their next trip,” Google said in a blog post.

Rather than manually experimenting with dates, destinations, and filters, users can simply describe their travel plans conversationally and Flight Deals will handle the rest.

Explaining this in the blog post, Google wrote, “Instead of playing with different dates, destinations and filters to uncover the best deals, you can just describe when, where and how you’d like to travel — as though you’re talking to a friend — and Flight Deals will take care of the rest.”

The feature is launching in beta and will be available next week in India, the United States, and Canada.

Users can access it by visiting Google Flights and selecting the menu in the top-left corner. Google clarified that the standard Google Flights interface will remain active alongside Flight Deals.

Additionally, the company is developing a filter to exclude economy-class tickets for trips within the US and Canada.

How Google’s Flight Deals Work?

Powered by Google’s advanced AI (the exact model was not disclosed), Flight Deals can interpret nuanced travel requests and match them with suitable destinations. This allows users to enter flexible prompts such as “week-long trip this winter to a city with great food, nonstop only” or “10-day ski trip to a world-class resort with fresh powder.”

Flight Deals then uses real-time Google Flights data to deliver “relevant, up-to-date options from hundreds of airlines and booking sites.”

According to Google, the tool highlights “the best bargains available that match your search, including destinations you may not have previously considered.”

FAQs

Q1. What is Google’s new Flight Deals tool?

Answer. Flight Deals is an AI-powered feature integrated into Google Flights that helps users find the best airfares by interpreting conversational travel requests. It’s designed for flexible travellers focused on saving money.

Q2. How do I use Flight Deals to search for flights?

Answer. Instead of manually adjusting dates and filters, users can describe their travel plans conversationally like “10-day ski trip to a world-class resort with fresh powder” and Flight Deals will suggest relevant, up-to-date options using real-time data from airlines and booking sites.

Q3. Where and when will Flight Deals be available?

Answer. Flight Deals is launching in beta next week in India, the United States, and Canada. Users can access it by visiting Google Flights and selecting the menu in the top-left corner. The standard Google Flights interface will still be available.

Pixel 10 series is set to launch later this month and most of its details are already out in the open. Now, fresh regulatory leaks have confirmed battery capacities for the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL, while also suggesting slight improvements in repairability. Here’s what we know.

Pixel 10 Series – Battery Upgrades and Repairability

Newly spotted EU regulatory labels, reported by YTechB, have confirmed what previous leaks have already indicated. The entire Pixel 10 lineup would feature larger batteries. According to multiple reports, the core series upgrades are as follows –

  • Pixel 10 – 4,970 mAh (up from 4,700 mAh)
  • Pixel 10 Pro – 4,870 mAh (up from 4,700 mAh)
  • Pixel 10 Pro XL – 5,200 mAh (up from 5,060 mAh)

According to EU regulatory labels, each device received a rating from “A” to “G” based on lifespan, durability, repairability and other factors.

The base Pixel 10 now holds a “B” rating, down from last year’s “A”, despite similar specs. It has a rated battery capacity of 4,835 mAh, which aligns with the advertised 4,970 mAh, compared to the Pixel 9’s 4,558 mAh. Runtime improves slightly from 49:12 to 49:23.

image

The Pixel 10 Pro gets an “A” rating, with a rated capacity of 4,707 mAh, up from 4,558 mAh. Estimated runtime increases from 50:44 to 51:09. The Pixel 10 Pro XL scores a “B,” with its rated capacity rising from 4,942 mAh to 5,078 mAh, though its estimated runtime drops from 49:30 to 48:39.

All three models are designed to retain endurance for 1,000 charge cycles and have reportedly survived 270 drop tests without battery issues. The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL also see minor repairability upgrades, moving from a “C” to a “B” rating, though exact changes remain unknown.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold With IP68 Rating and UFS 4.0 Storage

image

Meanwhile, a detailed Pixel 10 Pro Fold specs leak reportedly sourced from “an official spec sheet” and shared by WinFuture, has surfaced online. It revealed two standout features. The foldable will be the first foldable to receive an IP68 dust/water resistance rating and the first Pixel in four generations to adopt UFS 4.0 storage.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold retains much from last year’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold, including an 8-inch internal display, 16GB RAM, a 48MP main camera with ultrawide and telephoto lenses, and two 10MP selfie shooters. Upgrades include a larger 6.4-inch outer display, Tensor G5 chip, a bigger 5,015 mAh battery, and Qi2 wireless charging at up to 15W (lower than the expected 25W from Qi 2.2).

The IP68 rating marks a major breakthrough for foldables, which have typically lacked full dust protection, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, for example, only has an IP48 rating.

The switch to UFS 4.0 storage, available in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB options, is the first Pixel storage upgrade since 2021’s Pixel 6 series. While the performance gains may be modest, users can expect a faster and smoother experience, especially if the upgrade applies to the rest of the Pixel 10 lineup.

As previously reported, pricing is expected to remain unchanged. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will launch on August 20, but shipping will reportedly begin in October.

With Google’s Pixel 10 launch just days away, leaks have already revealed nearly every detail of the upcoming Google lineup. Now, images of the official first-party cases for the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL have surfaced online.

Shared by Dutch publication Nieuwemobiel, the leaked images confirm the support for the “Pixelsnap” magnetic accessory system among other things. Here’s everything we know based on the recent leak.

Pixel 10 Series – Official Cases’ Images Leaked

Nieuwemobiel shared images showing the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro XL cases in several colours. The Pixel 10 and Pro are pictured in Indigo, Obsidian, Limoncello, and Frost, while the Pro XL appears in Moonstone, Jade, and Porcelain. As with last year’s Pixel 9 lineup, the standard Pixel 10 and the smaller Pixel 10 Pro are likely to share the same case design.

image image image

At first glance, the cases look similar to previous generations, but a key new detail stands out. Inside the cases, a circular magnet ring is clearly visible beneath the soft fabric lining, a design commonly used in magnetic cases from Apple and other brands.

Although there’s no official confirmation in the case images alone, earlier reports have already indicated that Google’s cases will include magnets.

In recent years, many Android manufacturers have relied on cases to add “MagSafe”-style magnetic compatibility. Google initially skipped the idea with its own cases, leaving third-party “Made for Google” partners to embrace it for the Pixel 9 series. This time, however, leaks suggest that the Pixel 10 models will feature magnets built directly into the phone’s chassis with matching magnets in the official cases to enhance connectivity.

In fact, other leaks strongly point to the Pixel 10 series including the standard, Pro, and Pro XL shipping with built-in magnets to support Qi2 wireless charging. The case magnets simply extend that functionality, ensuring a stronger connection for compatible accessories.

The Pixel 10 family along with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will officially debut on August 20 during Google’s “Made by Google” event. The showcase is also expected to feature the Pixel Buds 2a and the Pixel Watch 4.

FAQs

Q1. What is the new “Pixelsnap” feature in the Pixel 10 cases?

Answer. “Pixelsnap” refers to Google’s magnetic accessory system supported by the Pixel 10 series. The official cases include a built-in magnet ring to enhance connectivity with compatible accessories, similar to Apple’s MagSafe design.

Q2. Which colours will the official Pixel 10 cases be available in?

Answer. The Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro cases will come in Indigo, Obsidian, Limoncello, and Frost. The Pixel 10 Pro XL will be available in Moonstone, Jade, and Porcelain.

Q3. Will the Pixel 10 phones support Qi2 wireless charging?

Answer. Yes, leaks suggest that all Pixel 10 models, including the standard, Pro, and Pro XL, will feature built-in magnets to support Qi2 wireless charging, with the case magnets enhancing accessory compatibility.

Apple Working on ‘Tabletop Robot’ Companion for 2027, Alongside Smart Home Hub: Report

0

Highlights

  • Apple is developing a 7-inch display on a motorised arm that tracks user movement and interacts using Siri, targeted for 2027.
  • A simpler, stationary hub is also in the works and is expected to launch a year earlier.
  • Both devices may run a new multi-user OS called Charismatic, featuring Siri with potential visual avatars like Memoji or animated icons.

Apple is reportedly planning a push into new smart home devices as part of a broader shift in its artificial intelligence strategy. A Bloomberg report by Mark Gurman claims that the company is developing multiple AI-powered products, with the most ambitious being a tabletop robotic companion.

Apple Tabletop Robot Display

This device is described as a small display, roughly seven inches across and mounted on a motorised arm. It can tilt and swivel to track the user’s movements around a room. The arm can shift the screen up to six inches from the base in any direction, making it feel more interactive and “companion-like.”

The concept is said to include a revamped version of Siri, designed to behave more like a helpful presence, remembering past conversations, offering proactive suggestions, and holding natural, back-and-forth discussions.

If development stays on track, Apple is aiming for a 2027 release.

Apple Smart Home Hub

A second product in the works is believed to be a stationary smart home hub, essentially a simplified version of the robot without moving parts. Expected to arrive sooner in 2026, this hub would handle tasks like music control, note-taking, web browsing, and video calls.

Both the hub and the robotic assistant are said to run a new multi-user operating system called Charismatic, with a version of Siri that’s intentionally more upbeat. Apple is even exploring giving Siri a face, testing visual styles ranging from an animated Finder icon to a Memoji-like avatar.

Although talk of these devices has surfaced before, internal discussions about a home hub reportedly date back to 2022. It hints at a personal robot that emerged last year. This latest leak provides the clearest look yet at Apple’s vision. Still, as with many experimental projects, the company could scale back or abandon the plans before they ever hit the market.

FAQs

iPad Mini 8 Leak Points to A19 Pro Chipset and Potential OLED Display Upgrade

Details reportedly uncovered in internal Apple code reveal that Apple’s next iPad mini could see a substantial performance boost. The leak from an accidental code release hints at a major processor upgrade and possible future display enhancements, offering an early look at what may be in store for Apple’s smallest tablet. Here’s more on that.

A19 Pro Chip for Next iPad Mini

The code references an iPad mini under the codenames J510 and J511, expected to feature the A19 Pro processor. This chip, set to debut in the iPhone 17 Pro series later this year, will include more GPU cores than the standard A19. A binned A19 Pro variant with one fewer GPU core is also mentioned, which is likely headed to the iPhone 17 Air but not the iPad mini.

The current iPad mini, launched in 2024, runs on the A17 Pro from the iPhone 15 Pro. Upgrading to the A19 Pro could bring a significant boost in graphics and processing power, making the device better suited for demanding apps and upcoming iPadOS features.

Possible OLED Display in the Future

Rumours suggest Apple is developing an iPad mini with an OLED display, which could arrive in 2026 or later. It’s unclear if this transition will coincide with the A19 Pro upgrade. An OLED panel would offer higher contrast, deeper blacks, and improved energy efficiency over the current LCD.

The leaked code also points to a completely new entry-level iPad. These are reportedly codenamed J581 and J582, which could ship with the A18 chip as soon as next spring. Apple is basically expanding the tablet lineup to cover both budget-friendly and high-performance options.

FAQs

Q1. What processor will the next iPad mini feature?

Answer. The next iPad mini is expected to be powered by the A19 Pro chipset, which offers more GPU cores and improved performance compared to the A17 Pro used in the current model.

Q2. Is Apple planning to switch to OLED displays for the iPad mini?

Answer. Yes, Apple is reportedly developing an iPad mini with an OLED display, potentially launching in 2026 or later. OLED would provide better contrast, deeper blacks, and improved energy efficiency over the current LCD.

Q3. Are there any other new iPads mentioned in the leak?

Answer. The leak also references a new entry-level iPad, codenamed J581 and J582, which may feature the A18 chip and could be released as early as spring 2026.
