The new Acer Swift X (SFX14-41G) model laptop brings ultimate performance with uncompromised battery life. The laptop is powered by AMD Ryzen 5 5600U Hexa-core processor. It has a base clock speed of 2.3Ghz and can go up to 4.2Ghz. For graphics, Acer has equipped this model with 4GB Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU and AMD Radeon™ Graphics come with ultrathin form-factor. Swift X comes with 16GB of ram and has 512GB of SSD storage. The display on this model is a 14-inch Full HD screen with 100% sRGB color gamut supported. It has an IPS panel with a peak brightness of 300nits supported. Acer has equipped this model with a 4-cell 59Whr battery.

Swift 3:

Offering a balance between performance and design, two models in the Acer Swift 3 line is powered by new 11th Gen Intel Core processors and AMD Ryzen 5000U series processor. Both the laptops come with a sleek metal chassis, the latest technology including Intel Iris Xe graphics and Thunderbolt 4. With Wi-Fi 6 (Gig +) on Intel-based models so users can enjoy a fast and reliable Internet connection for a truly wire-free experience. Tecno Camon 18 and Tecno Camon 18P have launched in the company’s Camon series. Both the new smartphones offer 20.5:9 display and carry triple rear cameras. Tecno Camon 18 and 18 P are fitted with a 6.8-inch punch-hole display. The vanilla model supports a 90Hz refresh rate, whereas the 18P variant offers a 120Hz refresh rate. Both models support a full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels. The new smartphones come in Ceramic White, Dusk Gray, and Iris Purple colors and are currently listed in Nigeria. Telegram added 70 million users during Facebook-WhatsApp outage, says its CEO

While social media major Facebook’s outage on Monday left millions of people disconnected for almost six hours, it was the turn of its rival messaging platform Telegram to rejoice as it managed to garner over 70 million new users.

“The daily growth rate of Telegram exceeded the norm by an order of magnitude, and we welcomed over 70 million refugees from other platforms in one day,” said Pavel Durov, Founder, Telegram.

Durov on his Telegram channel mentioned that even though some users in the US might have experienced slower speeds due to the load by millions trying to sign on to the platform and go back online, for most users, the services ran just fine.

“I am proud of how our team handled the unprecedented growth because Telegram continued to work flawlessly for the vast majority of our users,” he added.

“That said, some users in the Americas may have experienced slower speed than usual as millions of users from these continents rushed to sign up for Telegram at the same time.”

Users scrambled to alternatives such as Telegram and even Signal when WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram were down.

Oppo to roll out ColorOS 12 based on Android 12 on Oct. 11

Following the release of Android 12, smartphone brand Oppo just released its new ColorOS 12 (global version) based on the new Google operating system. This makes Oppo one of the first OEMs to release Android 12, now available on its Find X3 Pro devices in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Oppo plans to unveil the full details of ColorOS 12 (global version) with an online event on October 11 at 2:30pm IST, during which it will disclose the inclusive and customizable design, rich features and strong performance, and the rollout timeline of ColorOS 12.

With the launch, Oppo will cover 110+ devices and 150 million users across the world, making it the fastest and widest reaching ColorOS update in Oppo history.

For the very first time, Oppo is also announcing a major update policy, specifically, for Oppo devices that were launched from 2019 onwards. The company will guarantee three major Android updates for its flagship Find X Series devices, two Android updates for the Reno/F Series and an Android update in some of the A Series models1, along with four years of regular security patches for the Find X/Reno/F Series, and three years for the A Series.
