Kim Kardashian is facing heavy criticism online after her latest photoshoot for Perfect Magazine, where she posed with a Tesla robot Optimus and a Cybertruck. The photos, shot by photographer Steven Klein, feature the reality star in intimate poses with Tesla’s humanoid robot and lounging in the back of the futuristic vehicle.
Kardashian posted the pictures on her Instagram handle recently. The timing of the shoot has fueled backlash as Tesla and its CEO Elon Musk are currently under scrutiny for various controversies, including corporate policies, labour concerns and Musk’s political views.
Many social media users accused Kardashian of being “tone-deaf” and “not reading the room at all.”
The criticism intensified as some recalled Musk’s recent controversy, where he made a gesture during a speech that many likened to a Nazi salute. The backlash also follows Kardashian’s previous Tesla-related post last November when she shared a video featuring a Tesla robot, captioning it: “Meet my new friend🦾🤖@Tesla.”

While some fans appreciated the futuristic aesthetic of the shoot, the internet remains divided with many questioning the intent and timing of the collaboration.
“Taking paid promo to have a Tesla robot on a mag cover is so lame. Not that Kim has ever been a progressive oracle but taking coin from the Nazi Coup is a new low lol,” one person wrote.

“Kim’s a Nazi sympathizer. Sorry but posing with a Tesla robot can’t be anything else but that,” someone else added.
