Jio Game Controller: Price, specs, and everything you need to know

Reliance Jio has quietly launched its new Gaming Controller in the Indian market. It sounds quite weird when we hear anything else besides the smartphone with Jio. However, the brand has changed the way it used to be.

The product is listed on the official website of Jio, stating its features and specs. The gaming controller is said to feature a great battery life of up to 8 hours and that too on a single charge. This is the first such product from the popular telecom operator. Earlier it used to sell mobile phones only. Here are all the details, check it out!

Jio Game Controller: Price and availability in India

Jio, just like its mobile data plans, has kept the controller in a very budget-friendly range. The ‘Jio Game Controller’ is currently priced at Rs 3,499 in India (inclusive of taxes). Also, Jio is offering easy EMI options starting from Rs 164.71 for the controller as well. For some context, the Xbox One official controller is also sold at Rs 3,499 while the one for Xbox Series X cost Rs 4,199. Various editions of the Sony PS5 and PS4 controllers are meanwhile priced around Rs 4000 and Rs 5000.

Users can easily get their controllers from Reliance Jio’s official website. Now the gamers can have a sigh of relief as this one does go heavy on features but not on your pocket. Here are the specifications you can get in this one!

Jio Game Controller: Specs

The very first advantage of this gaming controller is that it offers amazing compatibility across many platforms. The Game Controller can be used with Android tablets and TVs and other devices. However, the ones using Jio set-top box will enjoy it the most. Unfortunately, you won’t get Play Station or Xbox connectivity/compatibility with this one.

Coming to the battery life on this one, so the company claims that the Jio Game Controller has an 8-hour long battery life with support for haptic control. It also supports low latency gaming, which is a crucial aspect of an enhanced gaming experience for any user. Furthermore, the controller features two vibration feedback motors installed with two pressure-point triggers and an eight-direction arrow button.

Talking about the connectivity specs, it comes with features like Bluetooth v4.1 support, offering a wireless range of up to 10 metres. It also comes with two joysticks. Also, there are not many colour options available for the Jio gaming controller as of now. The one available in the market comes in a matte black finish.

Reliance Jio’s other developments

Meanwhile, Reliance Jio has become the first telecom operator in the country to offer mobile telephony service to the Kedarnath trek route. The service that provides telecom services between the Kedarnath shrine and Gaurikund was inaugurated by the Badrinath-Kedarnath Mandir Samiti Chairman Ajendra Ajay on Sunday.

As far as details of this newly launched service are concerned, Jio said that it has already installed a full capacity tower at Sonprayag, which is one of the key halt locations in the Kedarnath trek route. The company plans to install five more towers between the Kedarnath Shrine and Gaurikund. Of these, Jio, which is one of India’s largest telecom operators has already installed telecom towers at Chhoti Lincholi, Lincholi and Rudrapoint. It plans to install two more telecom towers on this route soon.
