The iQOO Z7 5G is all set to launch in India on March 21.
The company has confirmed the launch event on Twitter and even revealed that the device is aimed at Gen-Z. iQOO is claiming that its new 5G phone is “Fully Loaded” and “packed with features.” The iQOO Z7 launch event will start at 12:00PM and people will be able to watch the livestream via iQOO’s YouTube channel.
Ahead of the launch, the company’s CEO Nipun Marya revealed a few specifications in an interview.
He confirmed that the iQOO Z7 will come with a 64-megapixel primary camera with OIS support.
Amazon has teased the launch of the 5G phone, which reveals that the device will have a dual camera setup at the back.
It will have a boxy design with chiseled side frames.
This time around, the brand is launching the device with a MediaTek chip instead of Snapdragon which it offered with the previous one.
The iQOO Z7 will be powered by a Dimensity 920 SoC. The smartphone will ship with Funtouch OS 13 out of the box.
Under the hood, there is a 5,000mAh battery. The device has support for 44W fast charging tech. The company is claiming that the bundled charger will take 25 minutes to charge the battery from 1 percent to 50 percent.
Marya says that the iQOO Z7 is “exclusively designed for the Indian market.” Boasting about the phone, he asserted that this affordable device packs an “ultra-bright AMOLED display.” This one also has a fingerprint sensor.
Smartphone brand iQOO is all set to unveil the IQOO Z7 5G soon in the country.
Ahead of that, CEO Nipun Marya has revealed the launch date, price range and key specifications of the upcoming smartphone.
The design of the smartphone’s design has already been revealed, and an earlier report hinted that the smartphone would be launched on March 21st in India, similar to what the CEO said.

Meanwhile, in an interview, Maurya said that the upcoming smartphone would be launched at a price below Rs 20,000.
As far as the online availability of the smartphone is concerned, it will be available on the e-commerce platform Amazon.
Maurya mentioned that the upcoming smartphone would flaunt an AMOLED display and in-display fingerprint sensor.
It is also claimed to be India’s first 64MP optical image stabilisation (OIS) camera setup in the segment.
As per the CEO, the iQOO Z7 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G chipset and will offer the 44W flash charge technology that is said to charge the phone from 1 per cent to 50 per cent in just around 25 minutes, the report said.
Meanwhile, other reports have hinted that the smartphone has a 6.5-inch FHD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 16MP selfie camera.
The MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G chipset will likely be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
And talking about the battery, the smartphone might pack a 5,000mAh battery.
Notably, just a few days ago, iQOO CEO Nipun Marya teased the AnTuTu Benchmark score of the upcoming mid-range smartphone.
The score was over 4.8 lakh, above most smartphones with Snapdragon 695 chipset.
Following the tweet by Marya, noted tipster took to Twitter to claim that the smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC, which is a premium mid-range chipset with ARM’s Cortex A78 architecture, 5G support, LPPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and 6nm fabrication process.
Before that, a 3C Certification listing revealed that the iQ0O Z7 would also be the first Z-series smartphone with over 100W fast charging.
The listing confirmed that the handset would feature an impressive 120W fast charging support.
The 3C listing also revealed that the more affordable iQ00 Z7× would feature 80W fast charging support.
The rest of the details are unknown as everything will be revealed officially on March 21. As of now, there is no confirmation on memory options.
The iQOO Z7 will likely be available for purchase via Amazon, considering the e-commerce giant has started teasing the launch of the phone on its platform.
iQOO Z7 5G Design
The upcoming iQOO Z7 5G’s selfie camera will be located in a waterdrop notch at the top of the phone, according to an earlier teaser of the device. The volume keys and power buttons are located on the right side of the device’s chassis. We might have to wait a little longer to learn more about the smartphone’s remaining design language since the brand has not yet shown off the other sides of the device.
