iQOO is reportedly working on a new compact tablet aimed at gaming and high-performance use. Rumours have been circulating about this device for a while and now a fresh leak has revealed some details about. If recent reports are to be believed, the upcoming device is still at the engineering prototype stage and could stand with powerful processor and an active cooling system. Here’s what we know so far.

iQOO Compact Tablet – Processor and Cooling Features (Expected)

As per the latest post of tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the iQOO compact tablet engineering prototype is being tested with the 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. The tablet is also said to feature a large built-in fan capable of moving a high volume of air.

The inclusion of active cooling suggests that iQOO could significantly improve thermal management and sustained performance of the upcoming device. The tablet may be designed to maintain high performance during extended gaming sessions and the tipster’s post clearly suggests that it could become one of the most powerful compact tablets ever.

iQOO Compact Gaming Tablet – What Else We Know?

As of now, even the latest leak doesn’t mention the name of the device. However, an earlier repor from July 2026 revealed that iQOO is working on a compact tablet that has bagged its first certification in China.

The tablet carrying model number iPA2691 received SRRC certification in China last month and was previously tipped to feature a compact design and a 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6-series chipset. It is also expected to be a Wi-Fi-only tablet without cellular connectivity.

Earlier leaks suggested that the tablet could feature an OLED display with slim bezels and a high refresh rate. However, iQOO has not confirmed any of these details yet.

Launch Timeline

iQOO has not officially announced the compact tablet or revealed its specifications. However, some reports have indicated that this tablet could also arrive around the same time as iQOO’s upcoming smartphones in China.

The company is reportedly preparing to launch the iQOO 16 and iQOO Neo 12 in the country by late September or early October. The iQOO 16 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, while the Neo 12 is tipped to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

Considering the timing, the compact gaming tablet could potentially debut alongside these smartphones. However, there is currently no official confirmation regarding its launch date or availability.
