iQOO is reportedly preparing to launch two new flagship smartphones in China, iQOO 16 and iQOO Neo 12. As of now, reports suggest the phones cound arrive in the Chinese market around the end of September or early October. Ahead of their expected debut, tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has now revealed details about the displays being tested for both phones.
iQOO 16 and iQOO Neo 12 Display Details Leaked
According to DCS, iQOO is working on new displays for its mid-range and high-end smartphone segments with both models reportedly moving to 2K resolution.

The iQOO 16 is said to be undergoing testing with a 6.85-inch display that offers 2K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The panel is reportedly being supplied by Samsung Display Corporation (SDC), suggesting that iQOO could be using a high-end display for its upcoming flagship.
The iQOO Neo 12, on the other hand, is tipped to feature a slightly smaller 6.83-inch panel sourced from Visionox. It is also expected to offer 2K resolution, while its refresh rate could be either 165Hz or as high as 185Hz.
iQOO 16 Expected Specifications

Beyond the display, the iQOO 16 is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. The phone could pack a large 8,500mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging as well as wireless charging.
The smartphone is also rumoured to include a dedicated display chip, 3D ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, dual speakers and an X-axis linear motor. Other expected features include IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, USB 3.2 connectivity and an AR coating.
iQOO 16 could feature a triple rear camera setup with three 50-megapixel sensors. The setup is expected to include a 1/1.3-inch primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens.
iQOO Neo 12 Expected Specifications

The iQOO Neo 12 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The phone could also feature a battery with a capacity of more than 9,000mAh along with 100W fast charging.
Like the iQOO 16, the Neo 12 is tipped to feature a dedicated display chip and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. However, details about its camera setup are currently unavailable.
While the two smartphones are expected to launch in China around the end of September or early October, iQOO has not yet officially confirmed their launch timeline or specifications.
