iQOO 16 – Key Specs (Confirmed and Rumoured)
iQOO has confirmed that the iQOO 16 will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. The company is also working on a new in-house gaming chip and a next-generation Monster Super Engine for the phone.
These technologies are claimed to be designed to extract additional performance from Qualcomm’s flagship platform. iQOO has also said that the combination can deliver console-like ray tracing effects and improve visual quality in demanding games.
Earlier leaks had suggested that the iQOO 16 could feature three 50-megapixel rear cameras. These are expected to include a primary sensor, an ultra-wide camera and a periscope telephoto camera. The main camera could reportedly use a large 1/1.3-inch sensor.
The phone is tipped to pack a large 8,500mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging. If these specifications are accurate, the battery could be one of the biggest highlights of the iQOO 16, particularly for users who spend a lot of time gaming.
iQOO has revealed that it has worked with Samsung Display on a high-end panel designed to offer a balance between resolution and refresh rate. While more details about the display remain under wraps, previous leaks have pointed to a 6.85-inch Samsung M16 OLED display with a 2K+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The panel could also feature Samsung’s next-generation LEAD display technology.
The latest official reveal confirms that the iQOO 16 will launch in China by the end of September. The brand has not yet revealed the exact launch date.
