iQOO has officially confirmed that its next flagship smartphone will be named the iQOO 15. While earlier reports suggested the possibility of an iQOO 15 Ultra launching alongside it, a fresh leak now claims that the Ultra variant won’t arrive until next year. Here’s what we know.
According to a tipster account on Weibo named Experience More, the iQOO 15 Ultra is scheduled to launch in the first half of 2026. This is interesting in the context that we know the standard iQOO 15 is expected to debut in China this October.
The leak also mentions that iQOO is working on its first-ever compact flagship phone, which is expected to launch alongside the Ultra. This device is said to feature a flat display, although its final marketing name remains unknown.
The tipster further notes that the success of the iQOO 13 series is touted as one of the brand’s best-performing lineups. This has given iQOO the confidence to expand the iQOO 15 series to include three models.
Both the iQOO 15 and 15 Ultra are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (model number SM8850), though it’s unclear if the compact model will also use the same chipset.
Reports indicate that the iQOO 15 and 15 Ultra will share several core specifications. Both devices are said to sport a flat 6.85-inch Samsung 2K OLED LTPO display. On the rear, the camera system is expected to include a trio of 50-megapixel sensors, a primary camera, an ultra-wide lens and a periscope telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom.
However, the Ultra variant is likely to stand out with additional premium features such as an integrated active cooling fan, gaming shoulder triggers, wireless charging and a massive 7,000mAh battery supporting 100W fast charging.
