iQOO has begun teasing the iQOO 15 Ultra for an early February launch in China. The model is also tipped to include gaming-centric hardware, most notably an active cooling fan. Here’s what we know based on the recent teasers.
Firstly, we now know that pre-orders for the iQOO 15 Ultra are now live in China. A Weibo post shared by an iQOO product manager confirms that the phone will launch in the Chinese market before the Spring Festival in February.
The teaser highlights a design that leans heavily towards gaming enthusiasts.
Other teasers shared so far suggest the iQOO 15 Ultra will feature a circular rear camera module surrounded by a ring with orange accents visible across the body. The teaser also reveals an active cooling fan positioned near the lower section of the phone, pointing to a focus on sustained performance during extended gaming sessions.
iQOO is reportedly offering a dedicated protection plan for the cooling fan with coverage of up to five years.
With these additions, the model is expected to target hardcore gamers who value fast response times, stable frame rates, and consistent performance under heavy workloads. The device is being positioned as a performance-first model rather than a routine annual upgrade with emphasis on thermal efficiency, touch responsiveness and immersive gameplay. This approach suggests the iQOO 15 Ultra will compete more directly with dedicated gaming smartphones instead of standard flagship devices.
Moreover, new leaks have surfaced regarding the phone’s battery and charging capabilities. According to a recently edited Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station, the iQOO 15 Ultra is expected to launch in China with a battery rated at 7,000mAh or higher. The leak also claims support for wireless charging.
The handset has already appeared on China’s 3C certification platform, where it was listed with 100W wired fast charging support. However, the tipster suggests that iQOO could push charging speeds even further later in the device’s lifecycle, potentially up to 200W.
