Nothing has introduced the its first affordable pair of over-ear headphones, Nothing Headphone (a). The launch comes alongside the unveiling of the much-anticipated Nothing Phone (4a) and Nothing Phone (4a) Pro release.

The new headphones bring extended battery life, physical ear-cup controls, a lightweight build, and water resistance, along with support for high-resolution audio. Here are more details.

Nothing Headphones (a) – Price and Availability

The Nothing Headphone (a) will be available in Black, White, Pink, and a Limited Edition Yellow colour options.

These are priced at USD 199 (approximately Rs. 18,235), EUR 159, or GBP 149 depending on the region.

Pre-orders begin on March 5 via nothing.tech and selected partners. Open sales for the White, Black, and Pink variants will start on March 13. The Limited Edition Yellow model will go on sale from April 6.

The headphones are also expected to launch in India in the coming months.

Nothing Headphones (a) – Designs

The Nothing Headphone (a) features a physical control system built directly into the ear cups. The design carries forward the Roller, Paddle, and Button controls, which allow users to adjust volume, navigate media, and toggle active noise cancellation (ANC).

The headphones come with memory foam ear cushions borrowed from the Headphone (1). Nothing has also introduced a “Channel Hop” function that lets users switch between selected apps using the primary button. In addition, the headphones support a “Camera Shutter” mode, allowing the button to act as a remote shutter for a connected smartphone’s camera.

There is also an IP52 rating that offers protection against dust, dirt, and light water exposure.

Nothing claims the Headphone (a) offers the longest battery life among the brand’s current audio products. The headphones are said to deliver up to 135 hours, or roughly five days, of listening on a single charge when using the AAC codec with ANC turned off.

Fast charging support is also included with a quick 5-minute charge providing up to 5 hours of media playback.

The internal audio hardware and noise cancellation system are designed to deliver high-fidelity sound while adapting to the surrounding environment.

The headphones feature 40mm titanium-coated drivers and are certified for Hi-Resolution Audio Wireless. They also support the LDAC codec for high-quality wireless audio streaming.

For noise cancellation, the Headphone (a) uses hybrid adaptive ANC with dual feedforward and feedback microphones. The system adjusts noise cancellation levels in real time based on the surrounding environment and how the headphones fit. Users can also choose between three manual ANC presets, Low, Mid, and High.

The Nothing Headphone (a) is equipped with a three-microphone array combined with an AI-based noise reduction algorithm trained on 28 million scenarios. This system is designed to isolate voice audio and improve clarity during calls.

Users can further personalise their listening experience through the Nothing X app.
