iQOO has officially launched the iQOO 15 Ultra in China, introducing its latest flagship gaming smartphone as previously confirmed. This is the first iQOO phone to feature an active cooling fan and also the first to carry the “Ultra” branding, marking a shift from the company’s earlier “Pro” models being the top-tier offerings. Here’s all you need to know about the new model, starting with its price and availability.

iQOO 15 Ultra – Design and Build

The iQOO 15 Ultra is available in 2077 (Black) and 2049 (Silver) colour options, incorporating multiple futuristic design elements. These include an Energy Matrix with a sci-fi-inspired hexagonal honeycomb texture and a transparent Deco capsule that reveals internal components.

The Deco also features energy light blades with slow pulsating light effects.

Additional design highlights include an extra-large R-angle structure, an AG micro-frosted back cover with AF coating, and a low-temperature matte metal frame. The phone also ships with an L-shaped capsule charging cable designed to avoid obstruction during horizontal gaming use.

iQOO 15 Ultra – Key Features

The iQOO 15 Ultra comes with a 6.85-inch flat 2K+ AMOLED display featuring a 144Hz refresh rate and 8T LTPO technology. The panel uses Samsung’s M14 luminous material and supports 2160Hz full high-frequency dimming, a 3200Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, and a 360Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate. It delivers up to 2600 nits of brightness in HBM mode and peaks at 8000 nits.

According to the company, the phone uses 2K LEAD OLED technology, which enables lower power consumption, higher brightness, a slimmer profile, and improved environmental efficiency. It also introduces the world’s first Pleasing Eye Protection 2.0, offering a non-polarised natural light display, hardware-level gaming eye protection, and an industry-leading minimum brightness of 1 nit.

The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, optimised in collaboration with Qualcomm. iQOO claims the device scores over 4.51 million points on AnTuTu V11 benchmarks. The gaming-focused Q3 chip supports true 2K gaming visuals, simultaneous 2K+144FPS output, and native super-resolution and super-frame features across seven officially supported games.

The iQOO 15 Ultra supports up to 24GB of LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

On the imaging front, the iQOO 15 Ultra houses a 50-megapixel Sony primary camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel Sony Pro-level periscope telephoto camera. A 32-megapixel front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls. The phone uses an ultra-thin prism triple-reflection M-shaped optical path design to deliver improved image quality while maintaining a comfortable in-hand feel.

iQOO says the camera system, paired with NICE algorithms and large-scale image quality enhancement technology, delivers a cinematic shooting experience. Features include Live Photos, AI visual effects, and more.

The device packs a 7400mAh single-cell Blue Ocean battery, supporting 100W ultra-fast wired charging and 40W wireless fast charging. It is compatible with PPS and PD fast charging standards.

For audio, the iQOO 15 Ultra features new War Drum Master coaxial symmetrical dual speakers, where each speaker integrates both high- and low-frequency units. Dolby Atmos support makes its debut on the device, delivering a three-dimensional surround sound experience. AI-based voice recognition helps reduce ambient noise during use.

Haptics are handled by the Warhammer MAX dual-axis vibration motor, featuring a 576mm³ 091640 motor. It supports exclusive 4D vibration effects for 24 characters in “Open World Mobile” and adds 22 new dual-axis vibration effects for ultimate skills. The Energy Light Blade supports eight notification types, 12 colour options, and customisable lighting effects based on speed, duration, and sound pickup.

iQOO 15 Ultra – Advanced Cooling System and Gaming Controls and Interaction

For thermal management, the phone features the Ice Dome Cooling System, which includes a custom Ice Dome cooling fan with 59 blades and a 17×17mm diameter. It also integrates an 8000mm² ultra-large VC heat dissipation plate combined with double-layer ultra-high thermal conductivity graphite.

A one-click global cooling mode is included to maintain stable performance during extended gaming sessions.

The iQOO 15 Ultra introduces a new super-sensitive gaming control system that combines shoulder buttons, a gyroscope, and advanced touch response. The super-sensitive gaming shoulder buttons offer a 600Hz sampling rate with a response time as low as 32 milliseconds in supported games.

The super-sensitive gyroscope features a 500Hz sampling rate and works alongside iQOO’s self-developed speed algorithm to capture subtle hand movements in real time.

Touch response is enhanced with up to a 4000Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate and a 480Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate. In partnership with the official “Delta Force” game, iQOO has added a zoned touch feature that optimises responsiveness in skill button and wheel areas, reduces touch drop issues, and improves wheel and crosshair return speeds.

iQOO 15 Ultra – Pricing and Availability
