Fresh leaks have now shed light on Apple’s upcoming iPhone lineup revealing new details about the iPhone 18, iPhone Air 2 and the iPhone 18 Pro models.
Rumours around the Pro variants and foldable iPhone have been circulating for some time, so no real surprises there. But the latest information focuses on design changes, launch timelines and possible colour options for the other devices in the lineup. Here’s more on what latest word hints at.
According to tipster Fixed Focus Digital on Weibo, the standard iPhone 18 may not see any major design overhaul. The leak suggests (via 9to5Mac) that “The standard model of the iPhone 18 will see virtually no changes to its exterior design—aside from a potential minor tweak to its dimensions.”
We have to point out here that several earlier claims have suggested all iPhone 18 models would feature a smaller Dynamic Island. Now, newer reports indicate that any reduction in the Dynamic Island size could be limited to the Pro variants.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 18 is expected to retain a similar form factor including a 6.3-inch display likely matching the iPhone 17. The minor dimensional changes mentioned are expected to be subtle and may not be noticeable in everyday use.
The same source has also shared updates regarding the iPhone Air 2. Earlier reports from The Information and Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman had suggested a delay until spring 2027 but the latest Weibo post from tipster claims that the device is still on track for a fall launch.
Fixed Focus Digital has reiterated that the iPhone Air 2 will follow Apple’s usual upgrade cycle describing it as a “routine upgrade” without significant design changes or additions like a second rear camera. The latest update states, “Air 2 will proceed with its standard product iteration cycle.”
The device is expected to receive internal upgrades potentially including the A20 Pro chip rather than major external changes. If accurate, this timeline would see the iPhone Air 2 launching alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models and the rumoured foldable iPhone.

Separately, a leak from tipster WhyLab on Weibo has revealed potential colour options for the iPhone 18 Pro lineup. The devices could be available in grey, silver and a new dark red finish. An unofficial render accompanying the leak offers an early glimpse at how these colours might look.
The dark red variant could be particularly noteworthy as Apple has not introduced a red finish on its Pro models in recent years. Previous reports including those by Mark Gurman have suggested that Apple has been experimenting with deeper red shades. It could possibly enabled by the aluminium unibody design introduced in the previous generation that allows greater flexibility in colour options.
We have also reported recently that Apple may continue to skip a black colour variant for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. In terms of design, the iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to feature a smaller punch-hole camera cutout, while the rest of the design may remain largely unchanged.
The iPhone 18 Pro lineup is expected to debut in September and could be powered by a 2nm A20 Pro chipset. The devices may also feature batteries exceeding 5,000mAh capacity along with upgraded camera systems.
If the iPhone Air 2 does launch in the fall as suggested, Apple could introduce its usual set of four new models around the same time. However, reports indicate that pricing may be higher than usual especially since the standard iPhone 18 is now expected to arrive later and potentially in early 2027.
As with all early leaks, these details remain unconfirmed and official information from Apple is still awaited.
Answer. The standard iPhone 18 is expected to retain its current design with only minor dimensional tweaks. Reports suggest that any reduction in the Dynamic Island size may be limited to the Pro models.
Answer. Despite earlier reports of a delay until 2027, new leaks indicate the iPhone Air 2 is still on track for a fall launch. It will be a routine upgrade with internal improvements like the A20 Pro chip, but no major external design changes.
Answer. The iPhone 18 Pro lineup may come in grey, silver, and a new dark red finish. Apple is expected to skip a black variant again, while the dark red option could stand out as a fresh addition to the Pro series.
