iPhone 17 Pro Could Move Apple Logo Below Camera Bar

Highlights

  • Leaker Majin Bu claims the Apple logo on the iPhone 17 Pro may move from the centre to below the rear camera bar to enhance brand visibility.
  • Some case manufacturers are testing new designs and adjusting MagSafe ring placements to accommodate the rumoured logo shift.
  • A similar early leak occurred with the iPhone 11’s centred logo.

Apple might be changing the position of the Apple logo on the back of the iPhone again, according to leaker Majin Bu. The last time Apple changed the logo’s position was with the iPhone 11, when it moved to the centre of the device. It has stayed there ever since, but that could soon change.

Majin Bu has a mixed track record but has been right in the past including predicting the “Desert Titanium” colour for iPhone 16 Pro. The leaker now claims the iPhone 17 Pro may place the Apple logo below the rear camera bar, instead of the usual centre spot.

According to the leaker, the goal is to improve the recognizability of the Apple logo, especially with the updated camera design.

The post also mentions that case manufacturers are already testing designs based on this new logo placement. Interestingly, Majin Bu says that some brands are changing the MagSafe ring design to make sure the new Apple logo placement stays visible. He even shared an image mockup showing what this might look like.

While the rumour sounds unusual, there is a bit of precedent. The centred Apple logo on the iPhone 11 also leaked early, thanks to case makers adjusting their designs ahead of launch.

For now, this remains a rumour, but it’s one to keep an eye on as more iPhone 17 Pro details begin to surface. As for upgrades, the iPhone 17 Pro is rumoured to get a new 48MP telephoto lens (up from 12MP), support for 8K video recording and mechanical aperture for better light and depth control. The selfie camera could also get upgraded to 24MP.
