Meta-owned photo-sharing app Instagram has become one of the most popular apps among users globally. Meta keeps updating the app from time to time.
The app keeps pushing suggested posts on users’ feed based on the posts they already follow on a regular basis along with other posts where they have commented or their common connections have liked. Sometimes users might like the posts and reels which pops-up on their page, but at times they may not interest you at all, and you, at times, would want to break the cycle and turn off the suggestions made by Instagram.
If you do not want to hide the unwanted post on your Instagram, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the Instagram app
Step 2: Click on the three dots on the top right corner of the post which you see on the suggested post
Step 3: The dots will direct you to not see the posts option
Step 4: Now click on the cross icon (This will stop the suggested posts in the feed)
Step 5: Now tap on the snooze button which will stop all posts in the feed for the next 30 days
There is another way to avoid the suggested posts. Users need to click on the ‘Not Interested’ option to stop the posts to display on their wall. You can find the ‘Not interested’ option in the top right corner. Users might also add some reasons to hide the posts as per their choice.
Step 1: Open your Instagram app.
Step 2: Press the person icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen to navigate to your profile.
Step 3: Locate the photo you wish to delete.
Step 4: Tap the three horizontal dots at the top-right of the screen.
Step 5: Next, tap Delete. Finally, tap Delete again to confirm.
