Infinix is getting ready to launch a new addition to its Note 50 series in India. The upcoming Infinix Note 50s 5G+ will be hitting the Indian market on April 18, and it’s expected to be priced under ₹20,000. The special thing about this one is that it comes with a surprising twist – a fragrance feature.

Yes, you read that right! The Marine Drift Blue colour options will actually smell nice.

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ – A Phone With Fragrance

Infinix is introducing what it calls “Energizing Scent-Tech.” The idea is to integrate fragrance molecules are trapped inside microscopic capsules and embedded in the phone’s vegan leather back panel. Over time, these capsules slowly release a light, refreshing scent.

According to Infinix, the scent is meant to be subtle but long-lasting with the fragrance expected to stick around for up to six months. That said, how long it actually lasts might vary depending on how you use your phone and your environment.

“We try to innovate. One such innovation is this Energizing Scent-Tech. It’s like you have a good-looking phone and it smells good as well. There’s a lot of technology behind that,” said Anish Kapoor, CEO of Infinix India.

Infinix Note 50s 5G+ – What To Expect?

The Note 50s 5G+ will come in three colours, which include Titanium Grey, Ruby Red and Marine Drift Blue. The last one being the scented variant.

While we don’t have the full spec sheet just yet, we do know that the phone will feature a 64MP Sony IMX682 main camera, which is a solid offering in this price range.

With a launch just around the corner, we’ll soon find out how this unique combination of tech and fragrance plays out.
