Acer is officially stepping into India’s smartphone market with its first big reveal set for April 15. An updated landing page on Amazon India has now confirmed the launch date and reports suggest it’s going to be more than just a regular debut.

This new Acer smartphone line will be brought to India by Indkal Technologies, a company that has a trademark licensing deal with Acer Inc. and is a well-known global tech brand. Under this agreement, Indkal will handle everything starting from design to manufacturing and distribution specifically for the Indian market.

Ahead of the official launch, a recent Gizmochina exclusive report has shared some key info about one of the upcoming Acer smartphones. It is the same one teased with a circular camera module on the Amazon page. So, here’s what we know.

Acer’s First Smartphone In India – What To Expect?

The upcoming 5G Acer phone will come with a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 64-megapixel Sony sensor. That’s paired with an ultra-wide lens and a macro or depth sensor.

This combo is a rare find in this price range, especially when you factor in 5G support. In fact, while many mid-range phones are now switching back to just two rear cameras, Acer is doing the opposite offering a full-featured triple-camera system that could give its rivals a run for their money.

Gizmochina’s exclusive report also confirms that the phone will bring AI-based camera features to the table. The 64MP Sony sensor is designed to perform well even in low-light situations.

On top of that, it will include AI enhancements like better noise reduction, improved edge detection, punchier colours and smarter selfie processing across different lighting conditions.
