Redmi is gearing up to launch its new Redmi K100 smartphone in China. Ahead of the official unveiling, the company has revealed another colour option for the upcoming device on Weibo. The phone was previously teased in the Fluorescent Green variant. The Redmi K100 is expected to focus on gaming performance with highlights including a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a 165Hz display, a 10,000mAh battery and 100W wired fast charging.
Redmi K100’s New Snow Rock White Colour Teased
Redmi has officially revealed the Snow Rock White colour option for the upcoming Redmi K100. According to the brand in an official Weibo post, this variant features a back panel with a delicate, paper-like texture. The finish is described as clean, simple and versatile with an oriental design influence.
The Snow Rock White variant joins the previously teased Fluorescent Green colour option. More details about the phone’s design and available finishes are expected to be revealed at launch.
Redmi K100 Expected Specs
The Redmi K100 is expected to feature a 6.83-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The screen is also tipped to support a 480Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate and a 3,500Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate. It could offer peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits and include Xiaomi Green Mountain Eye Protection 4.0 technology.
The smartphone is expected to run Xiaomi HyperOS 4 and feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It will also include a dedicated D2 gaming graphics chip, which is designed to support gaming performance.
Battery capacity is another major highlight with the Redmi K100 tipped to pack a 10,000mAh battery. The phone is expected to support 100W wired fast charging and 27W wireless charging.
It is expected to feature a 50-megapixel Light and Shadow Hunter 800 main camera with high dynamic range capabilities.
Other expected features include an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and dual 115X super-linear symmetrical speakers. The smartphone is also tipped to include an 0815 X-axis linear motor for haptic feedback, a dual T1+ signal enhancement chip and seven competitive antennas.
These features suggest that Redmi is focusing on gaming, display responsiveness, battery life and connectivity with the upcoming K100.
Redmi K100 Launch Timeline
Redmi will unveil the Redmi K100 in China on October 27 at 7pm local time (4:30pm IST). The company has already confirmed the Snow Rock White colour option and previously teased the Fluorescent Green variant.
The launch event is expected to reveal the remaining details about the smartphone including its final specifications, pricing and availability.
Redmi has not announced details about a possible launch in India.
