POCO has launched its new smartphone, POCO X8s, in the compact mid-to-high-end segment. The smartphone arrives after the POCO X8 and focuses on a smaller form factor with updated hardware. It include a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, a 6,330mAh silicon-carbon battery, 100W fast charging and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. POCO X8s Price and Availability
The POCO X8s has been announced for the global market in two memory and storage configurations. The early-bird prices are listed below:

POCO X8s Design and Colours
The POCO X8s is available in White, Blue and Black colour options.
The phone focuses on a compact design that measures 151.1mm in height, 71.8mm in width and 8.06mm in thickness. It weighs 187 grams and features a micro-curved aluminium frame.
The phone comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, offering protection against everyday exposure to dust and water under specified conditions. It also features POCO Shield Glass on the front and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor for unlocking the device.
POCO X8s Display and Performance
The POCO X8s is equipped with a CrystalRes AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2656 × 1220 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz. The panel supports a peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits and features symmetrical 1.18mm bezels. The display also supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, DC dimming, 12-bit colour support and a 480Hz touch sampling rate.
The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor built on a 4nm process. The octa-core chipset reaches clock speeds of up to 2.8GHz and is paired with an Adreno 722 GPU.
For thermal management, POCO has included its 3D IceLoop cooling system with a 4,497mm² heat dissipation surface. It runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
POCO X8s Camera Specs
The POCO X8s features a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel primary camera, a telephoto camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
The main camera uses a Light Fusion 800 sensor measuring 1/1.55 inches. It features optical image stabilisation (OIS), electronic image stabilisation (EIS) and a four-in-one Super Pixel arrangement with an effective 2.0µm pixel size. The camera specifications list an aperture of f/1.77 in the detailed camera section, while the overall specifications mention f/1.88.
The primary camera is accompanied by a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with a 57mm equivalent focal length and an f/2.2 aperture. The ultra-wide camera has an 8-megapixel sensor, a 120-degree field of view and an f/2.2 aperture.
For selfies and video calls, the phone features a 20-megapixel selfie camera and support for 1080p video recording. The rear camera system supports 4K video recording.
POCO X8s Battery
The phone packs a 6,330mAh battery and uses silicon-carbon battery technology with 16% silicon content, which helps achieve a higher energy density without requiring a larger battery footprint.
The device supports 100W HyperCharge wired charging with compatibility for the USB Power Delivery PPS standard. It also supports 22.5W wired reverse charging, allowing users to power compatible accessories and other devices.
Other features include dual-SIM support with an eSIM option, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6/6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and an infrared blaster. The phone also supports dual 4G VoLTE and includes GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, QZSS, NavIC and BeiDou positioning systems.
