IMG Mobile: Brand Story

At first, We would like to know, what IMG stands for and what is It’s brand story?

IMG has always been a strong player in OEM / ODM from China and serving Indian Telco’s. IMG was servicing and supplying mobile phones and it’s accessory earlier and currently working aggressively in smartwatch space.

Please tell us, about the most prominent target segment, that you strike for while releasing your product and what value do you provide your customer with?

IMG has always been focusing on mass segment which looks for value for money proposition but yet pocket friendly. IMG stands to provide quality to it’s customer, best of the league design and to fit there pockets.

India is a humongous market with quite a dense niche for tech products, so we are very keen to know your market experience in India in terms of competition, market penetration, and local business conditions of India?

IMG has been in India for more than a decade now, we understand the competition very well and are well geared up for same. Our edge in China and quick response time keep us ahead of the curve. At the same time our relationship and bonding with Indian business houses give us an edge above others. We understand local business conditions and accordingly adopt our way of operations from China to India.

So what is the greatest challenge that you face while working in a highly competitive market like India?

Greatest challenge is the ever rising demand … hahaha … on serious note our challenge is to bring new and new technology for Indian customers and enhance there appetite for more. Maintaining balance in latest technology, quality, premium looks and at same time price friendly is the challenge we love to deal with it daily.

What is the biggest business opportunity you see, while running your business in such a vast market like India?

Biggest opportunity is the insatiable demand in Indian market. Indian customers have appetite for more and even after more the more comes up. The market potential is created with every new product and then the cake keeps increasing with ever growing demand.

Tech business is all about trends, but in today’s scenario, these trends are changing very rapidly, what is your POV in terms of this rapid-changing & non-lasting trend environment & is this an opportunity or a challenge?

We believe on being the trend setters. We treat this as an opportunity and bring new and new technology and gadgets to create that demand and then fill the same. We are true marketers first create market and then fill it.

Indian consumer electronics market is highly price sensitive, So while launching any new product, what do you prioritize, is it the quality, or the price?

As I have mentioned above a strike balance has to be maintained to best quality at right price. Some time we have to subsidize with other SKU and sometime we have to charge premium, but yes standard quality is always our priority.

So which platform works best for you in terms of sales, is it the online platform or the offline channels?

IN OEM sales these channels doesn’t matter.

Talking about the price-sensitivity of Indian market, how do you combat the challenge of providing a good quality product in an inexpensive & affordable range?

Being a new and growing company, expansion of is the most essential thing you might be working on, So, what is your ‘ Growth Strategy’ regarding the same and where do you see yourself in next 5 to 7 years?

In next 5 to 7 year we see our self as market leader in OEM supply not only to Indian brands but also with International brands.
