Huawei is all set to launch the Nova 14 series in China on May 19 as per reports. The lineup is expected to include the Nova 14, Nova 14 Pro and Nova 14 Ultra. The series will go up against rivals like the Oppo Reno 14, Vivo S30 and Honor 400 series in the Chinese smartphone market.
Just days ahead of the official reveal, Huawei has officially shared a sneak peek at the Nova 14 Ultra. The teaser poster reveals the design and colour options as the brand calls it the most striking Nova yet. Here’s everything we know about the phone as of now.

According to the teaser posters, the Nova 14 Ultra will come in four eye-catching colour variants, which will be Floating Gold, Floating White, Glowing Purple and Obsidian Black. While it sticks to Huawei’s familiar Star Ring design, the Ultra version has a more refined look with smoother curves between the camera ring and the back panel.
There’s a circular camera module on the back with four cameras that are a main sensor, a telephoto lens, an ultra-wide lens and a Red Maple Colour sensor, a feature previously seen on the Mate 70 series.
This Red Maple Colour sensor is a multi-spectral image sensor that captures more accurate lighting and improves colour reproduction. According to Huawei, this sensor helps the Nova 14 Ultra deliver true-to-life photos and videos, and it’s being positioned as a standout feature for the phone in the mid-to-premium category.
As for specs, the Nova 14 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.8-inch full-view display and run on a Kirin 9 series chipset, giving it performance levels similar to Huawei’s Mate and Pura series.
It will also be the first device to launch with HarmonyOS 5, promising a refreshed and smoother software experience right out of the box.
