Huawei has officially rolled out its latest premium tablet, the Huawei MatePad 12 X, to global markets. The device combines a sleek ultra-slim design with a vibrant high-resolution display and flagship-grade features. It is positioned as one of the brand’s most advanced tablets to date. Here’s what we know about the newly launched MatePad model.
The Huawei MatePad 12 X has been introduced in two colour finishes, which are Greenery and White.
In terms of pricing, it is available in the UK for £599.99 and in Europe for €649.99. Accessories such as the Huawei Smart Magnetic Keyboard and the M-Pencil Pro stylus are sold separately.
The Huawei MatePad 12 X is essentially a rebranded version of the MatePad Air, which launched in China last month. It features an all-metal build with a thickness of just 5.9mm and a weight of 555 grams, giving it a premium and portable profile.
The tablet is equipped with a 12-inch LCD display that delivers a 2.8K resolution, a 144Hz variable refresh rate (VRR), and up to 1000 nits peak brightness. For eye comfort, it also comes with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. Additionally, Huawei offers a higher-end PaperMatte display variant for users seeking a more refined viewing experience.
To keep performance stable, Huawei has integrated an advanced cooling system that includes PCBA-level 3D dispensing technology and a custom 3D vapor cooling chamber. The company claims this system boosts performance efficiency by 27 percent.
Powering the MatePad 12 X is a robust 10,100mAh battery, paired with 66W wired fast charging support for quick top-ups. On the connectivity front, it supports WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.2 with BLE, and includes a USB 3.1 port. The tablet runs on HarmonyOS 4.3 right out of the box.
Other highlights include a six-speaker setup for immersive audio, 12GB RAM, and 256GB of internal storage.
