The MatePad Pro 13.2 now comes in a new Light Blue colour, officially called Feitianqing, available exclusively for the PaperMatte edition. This version features a silk-like texture and uses 0.5mm aviation-grade ultra-thin glass fiber for a more durable and refined finish.

The back panel combines a natural texture with multiple optical coatings for a visual effect that resembles real silk.

It’s also the first MatePad to ship with HarmonyOS 5.0 out of the box. The updated OS delivers a more desktop-like experience with support for multi-window mode, panoramic split screen, and air-gesture file sharing for seamless transfers between devices. Huawei has also upgraded the Celia AI assistant to help with meetings, calls, and other productivity tasks.

The rest of the specs remain unchanged. It features a 13.2-inch PaperMatte display with a 2880 x 1920 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate.

Inside, you get 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, along with a 10,100mAh battery. The tablet includes a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide lens, while a 16MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.

This Light Blue edition is priced at 6,299 yuan and will go on sale from June 18 on Huawei’s VMall store.

The FreeBuds 6, which were initially launched in Starry Sky Black, Sky White, and Aurora Purple, are now available in a glossy Rose Gold colour. The earbuds have a shiny finish, while the charging case has a matte texture to match.

They’re now directly available through Huawei’s VMall store, after previously being on pre-sale.

The earbuds come with 95dB noise cancellation, an 11mm four-magnet driver, a micro flat tweeter, and support for 2.3 Mbps lossless audio transmission. Their semi-open design makes them lightweight while still managing outside noise effectively.

Huawei has packed in some smart features too. You get two-way silent calling, real-time translation, scheduled reminders, and Celia voice alerts. The earbuds also respond to head movements for managing calls, and AI adjusts volume automatically based on your surroundings.

Battery life is rated at 36 hours, and a quick 5-minute charge gives you up to 2.5 hours of playback. There’s also a smart charging system that adapts to your charging habits to improve long-term battery health by up to 37 per cent.

The FreeBuds 6 Rose Gold Edition is priced at 999 yuan, with the Huawei Care+ plan available at a discount.

Both watches come with plain leather composite straps.

A standout feature is the new X-Tap system, which combines ECG, PPG, and tactile pressure sensors in a side module for more advanced health tracking. The Watch 5 runs HarmonyOS 5.1 and is the first to use Huawei’s Pangu and DeepSeek large AI models.

The upgraded Celia assistant can now handle over 100 sports modes and 15 health apps, respond to voice commands and provide personalised updates for news, weather, and more.

Gesture controls are a key upgrade. You can slide your thumb along your index finger to scroll or double-tap to confirm actions. These gestures can be used for handling calls, music, alarms, camera functions and even video playback.

The Watch 5 also supports eSIM for voice calls and music streaming, smart home control, car key features, and improved GPS accuracy thanks to Huawei’s Sunflower tech.

Battery life is solid, offering three days on the 42mm model and up to four and a half days on the 46mm model under normal use. Battery Saver mode extends those to seven and eleven days, respectively.

Pricing starts at 2,699 yuan for the 42mm model and 2,799 yuan for the 46mm model, with additional configurations available. Both are now available for purchase through VMall.
