Huawei has introduced a new foldable phone called the Nova Flip, marking the first foldable device in the Nova series.
This stylish phone comes in bold colours and is designed to be both a fashion statement and a high-tech gadget.
The Nova Flip boasts impressive hardware, including a waterdrop hinge mechanism tested by SGS Switzerland to withstand 1.2 million bends.
When unfolded, the phone is just 6.88mm thick and weighs 195 grams.
On the outside, there’s a 2.14-inch square OLED cover display next to the dual cameras.
Inside, you’ll find a 6.94-inch LTPO OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 1-120Hz refresh rate.
The cover display can be used as a viewfinder for the main camera and can also run apps like weather, music, and calendar.
The phone’s camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.56-inch RYYB sensor and F/1.9 aperture, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP front-facing camera.
Huawei hasn’t revealed the chipset or RAM for the Nova Flip, but a previous Geekbench listing suggests it runs on the Kirin 8000 chip, which is also expected in the Huawei Nova 12 and 12 Pro.
The Nova Flip operates on HarmonyOS 4.2, which offers several AI features like a subject removal tool, text selection from images, and image generation.
It also has a 4,400mAh battery with 66W wired charging.
The Huawei Nova Flip is available in New Green, Sakura Pink, Zero White, and Starry Black.
It is already available for pre-order in China.
Prices start at CNY 5,288 ($744) for the 256GB model, CNY 5,688 ($798) for the 512GB model, and CNY 6,488 ($911) for the 1TB model.
Sales in China are scheduled to begin on August 10.
