Honor has unveiled its latest mid-range smartphone, the Honor Play 60 Plus, in the Chinese market.
This new device serves as the successor to last year’s Honor Play 50 Plus, bringing improvements in display technology, processing power, and overall features.
Let’s dive into what this new handset has to offer.
The Honor Play 60 Plus is available in two configurations:
Consumers can choose from three colour options: Phantom Night Black, Moon Shadow White, and Wonderland Green.
The Honor Play 60 Plus has an even more immersive view on the largest possible 6.77-inch LCD with a super-smooth refresh rate of 120Hz.
Although the HD+ resolution may not be the sharpest in recent days, it will surely save much battery life from the device’s gigantic 6,000mAh battery.
Durability appears to be a focus for Honor with this device.
The Play 60 Plus features IP64-rated dust and water resistance, providing some protection against the elements.
Additionally, the phone has passed the Swiss SGS 5-star rating for drop and squeeze resistance, suggesting it can withstand some accidental bumps and falls.
Under the hood, it comes powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, which is a very strong companion in accomplishing everyday tasks and light gaming.
It also features 12GB of physical RAM for smooth performance in multitasking operations and another 8GB to extend it to virtual RAM.
Storage options go as high as 512GB, which is a lot of space to store plenty of apps, photos, and media.
There’s a 50MP main camera on the back that should help take pretty decently detailed shots in all lighting conditions.
The 5MP front-facing camera manages the selfies and video calls.
It is not exactly a high-end cam setup but will suffice for casual photography.
Other notable features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for quick unlocking and a 3.5mm headphone jack for those who prefer wired audio.
The Honor Play 60 Plus is available in two configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage for 1,499 CNY ($206) and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage for 1,699 CNY ($234).
The device features a 6.77-inch LCD with an HD+ resolution (720 x 1610 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate, offering a smooth visual experience.
