MagicOS 8.0, the latest Android UI from HONOR, introduces a first-of-its-kind intent-based user interface (IUI).
This major update focuses on AI integration and user intent recognition, setting it apart from its predecessors with advanced features like MagicLM and Magic Portal.
The intent-based user interface in MagicOS 8.0 is designed to interpret user intentions through language, gestures, and even eye movements.
This proactive approach to user interaction enables the system to offer services more intuitively, making the user experience more seamless and efficient.
MagicLM is a proprietary large language model developed by HONOR with seven billion parameters.
Integrated within MagicOS 8.0, it works to improve the platform’s AI capabilities, enhancing the system’s understanding of user intentions for a more personalized experience.
Magic Portal in MagicOS 8.0 is an innovative feature that allows users to easily switch and access services between different apps and devices.
This intent-based shortcut is designed for effortless navigation and enhanced connectivity across the HONOR ecosystem.
The series is expected to feature the Honor Magic 6, Magic 6 Pro, and a special Porsche Design edition.
The series is reported to be the first to incorporate Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
The devices are expected to come with quad-curved OLED displays, up to 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, and a 50MP OmniVision primary camera
