Honor is reportedly preparing its next-generation flagship series. These could to include the Honor Magic 9, Magic 9 Pro, and Magic 9 RSR. Among these, the Honor Magic 9 is shaping up to be a compact yet powerful device.
A fresh leak has recently shed light on its camera capabilities, suggesting a high-end 200-megapixel triple camera system and massive battery capacity. Here are more details.
According to tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Honor Magic 9 will feature a triple rear camera setup led by a 200-megapixel primary sensor with a 1/2.8-inch size. For ultra-wide photography, the device is expected to include a 50-megapixel sensor.

The camera module is also said to house a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, which will use a mid-range 1/2-inch sensor. While details about the front camera have not surfaced yet, the smartphone may continue to offer the 50-megapixel selfie camera seen on the Honor Magic 8.
Recent reports have also highlighted a major battery upgrade for the Magic 9. The company is reportedly working on equipping the device with a massive 8,000mAh battery. Although fast charging specifications remain unknown, the phone is expected to support wireless charging.
For reference, the Honor Magic 8 came with a 7,000mAh battery along with 90W wired and 80W wireless charging support.
The Honor Magic 9 is rumoured to be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset. Qualcomm is anticipated to introduce this 2nm processor in September later this year.
On the front, the device is tipped to feature a 6.3-inch flat OLED LTPO display. It is also expected to include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor for enhanced security.
Other specifications of the smartphone are still under wraps at this stage. However, we can expect more details to come out as the smartphone moves closer to launch.
