Honor has unveiled its first flip phone, the Magic V Flip, during an event in China.
This marks a significant milestone for the company as it ventures into the verticle foldable smartphone market after having already put forth its flagship foldable Magic V Fold earlier this year.
Here’s what you need to know about the Magic V Flip.
The Honor Magic V Flip will be available in Camellia White, Iris Black, Champagne Pink, and a limited-edition high-end model in partnership with Jimmy Choo.
The pricing for the device in China is as follows:
Orders are now open, and the device will be available for purchase in China starting from June 21st.
The Magic V Flip boasts a 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED internal display with a 1-120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness.
It also features a 4-inch OLED external display with a 0.1-120Hz refresh rate and up to 2,500 nits of peak brightness.
Both displays support Dolby Vision, full-screen AOD, and high-frequency PWM dimming.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
It has an ultra-thin liquid-cooled vapor chamber and a large heat dissipation area for efficient cooling.
The camera setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX816 front camera, a 50MP Sony IMX906 main camera with OIS, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 2.5cm macro option.
The device supports 4K video recording.
The Magic V Flip measures 14.89mm thick when folded and 7.15mm thick when unfolded, weighing 193 grams.
It houses a 4,800mAh battery with 66W fast charging, which can charge the device to 45% in 15 minutes and fully charge it in 42 minutes.
It also features a self-developed RF enhanced chip C1+ for improved connectivity.

The pricing in China starts at CNY 4,999 (approx. Rs. 57,595) for the 12GB+256GB model, going up to CNY 6,999 (approx. Rs. 80,630) for the 16GB+1TB model.
