Honor has confirmed that its new GT series smartphone will launch on December 16 at 7:30 PM local time in China. The company recently shared teaser images showcasing the phone’s design, highlighting its sleek and modern look.
The promotional images reveal the white variant of the Honor GT, which features a dual-tone design with flat edges. Its rectangular rear camera module includes dual cameras and a dual-tone flash, along with a striking red “GT” logo at the bottom-right corner.
The bottom edge houses a speaker, USB-C port, microphone and SIM slot. The design emphasizes performance and gaming capabilities while maintaining a stylish and durable build.
While Honor hasn’t disclosed full specifications, leaks suggest that the Honor GT will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
It is rumoured to feature a 1.5K OLED flat screen and support 100W wired fast charging, making it a strong contender in the premium performance segment.
Once launched, the new Honor GT smartphone is expected to compete mainly with some of the similar smartphone models including the Redmi K80 and iQOO Neo 10 as well as upcoming devices such as the Realme Neo 7 featuring the Dimensity 9300 Plus and OnePlus Ace 5, which will also run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Meanwhile, Honor’s CEO Zhao Ming recently said that the GT series will showcase unique and innovative design ideas made for the AI era.
He mentioned that the series is aimed at young users who are excited to experience the latest technology advancements.
