Honor’s much-anticipated 5G offering, the Honor 90, is gearing up for its India launch. Initially unveiled in China this past May, the handset made waves alongside its more robust sibling, the Honor 90 Pro.
While the Pro variant’s India launch remains uncertain, it boasts features like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and a battery that supports a staggering 90W fast charging.
Hints of the Honor 90’s India specifications and price bracket recently surfaced, thanks to insights provided by tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh).
According to him, Indian tech enthusiasts can expect the device to be available in Black, Green, and Silver colour options and fall in an estimated price range of Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000.
We can expect the device to launch in the Indian market this month or early in October.
From a specification standpoint, the Honor 90 5G is poised to impress. The device is anticipated to feature a 6.7-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED screen, complemented by a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, it may be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, paired with configurations that can reach up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Potential users can look forward to an Android 13 foundation, overlaid with Honor’s bespoke MagicOS 7.1.
The triple rear camera setup might echo its Chinese counterpart, boasting a 200MP primary rear sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens.
Though the front camera’s specifics remain a mystery, anticipations veer towards a 50MP sensor.
The Honor 90 5G is expected to house a robust 5,000mAh battery, coupled with a 66W fast charging capability. Other anticipated features include an in-display fingerprint scanner for security and a mono speaker setup for audio.
For those keen on understanding its price dynamics, the Chinese variant of the Honor 90 5G starts at approx. CNY 2,499 (approx. Rs. 29,000) for its base 12GB + 256GB model.
The device’s higher-end models, 16GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB, are priced at CNY 2,799 (approx. Rs. 32,500) and CNY 2,999 (approx. Rs. 35,000), respectively.
As India’s tech aficionados await the official announcement, the impending arrival of the Honor 90 is undeniably stirring excitement in the mobile industry.
