It appears HMD Global is gearing up to launch the Vibe 2, the follow-up to its entry-level Vibe phone. A new leak from the X account HMD Meme suggests upcoming Vibe 2 is expected to bring a number of improvements over its predecessor. Here’s what we know about the budget segment smartphone based on the recent leak.

The Vibe 2 will reportedly be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, a step up from the Snapdragon 680 used in the first-gen Vibe. It’s said to come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, with support for microSD cards up to 512GB.
In terms of design, the Vibe 2 is expected to stick with HMD’s current aesthetic. On the front, it’s rumoured to feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10 support.
One of the biggest upgrades may be the front camera. It’s expected to jump from 5MP on the original Vibe to a 50MP selfie camera on the Vibe 2.
On the back, the phone could offer a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor, likely for depth or macro shots. A 5000mAh battery will reportedly power the phone, with 33W wired charging support.
It’s also said to ship with Android 15 out of the box.
The original HMD Vibe had a 6.55-inch 720p LCD, just 3GB or 6GB of RAM and a 4000mAh battery with only 10W charging. In comparison, the Vibe 2 appears to be a solid upgrade in almost every way.
Still, this phone is clearly designed for the entry-level market, particularly in the US, where budget Android phones often lack good specs and long-term update support.
As of now, there’s no word yet on the price or launch date. However, an official announcement might be just around the corner since leaks have finally started to surface.
