The upcoming HMD smartphone is expected to target the budget 5G segment with confirmed features such as a large 120Hz display, a 6,000mAh battery and a 50-megapixel camera setup. Now ahead of the official debut, a tipster on X has leaked the expected price, memory variants and key specifications of the upcoming Vibe series smartphone. Here’s more on recently leaked details.

According to the latest post by a tipster Abhishek Yadav @yabhishekhd on X, the HMD Vibe 2 5G could launch in three storage variants in India.

The base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is tipped to cost ₹8,999. Meanwhile, the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model may be priced at ₹9,999. The top-end 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option is expected to carry a price tag of ₹10,999.
If the leaked pricing turns out to be accurate, the HMD Vibe 2 5G could compete with several affordable 5G smartphones in the sub-₹11,000 segment.

Apart from the pricing details, the tipster also revealed that HMD Vibe 2 5G will feature a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset is said to be powered by the Unisoc T8200 chipset.
For photography, the phone is tipped to feature a 50-megapixel rear camera along with an additional secondary sensor. On the front, it could get an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The handset is also expected to pack a large 6,000mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging. The leak further suggests that the smartphone may arrive with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.

HMD has already confirmed several details about the upcoming smartphone through the Flipkart microsite. For example, it has been confirmed that HMD Vibe 2 5G will launch in Cosmic Lavender, Nordic Blue and Peach Pink colour options.

The microsite also confirms that the smartphone will feature a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel AI camera. However, details about the secondary sensor are still under wraps.
The company has also confirmed the presence of a 6,000mAh battery with 18W wired charging support.
In terms of design, the HMD Vibe 2 5G images in the teasers show the phone will sport a rectangular rear camera island with two camera sensors and an LED flash. The overall design appears similar to some flagship smartphones featuring a flat dual-tone rear panel and centred HMD branding near the bottom.
The power button and volume controls are placed on the right side of the handset, while the SIM tray is positioned on the left edge. The bottom section of the device is confirmed to house a USB Type-C port, speaker grille, secondary microphone cutout and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
