The Government of India is preparing to launch a new Aadhaar mobile application, developed by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), that will allow Aadhaar holders to update their personal details directly through their smartphones.
Aadhaar Mobile App Coming Soon
The upcoming app will eliminate the need to physically visit Aadhaar Seva Kendras for most updates. Users will be able to change details such as name, residential address, date of birth, and more seamlessly via the app. Although still in development, officials confirm that the application is on track for release by the end of this year.

To further enhance the update process, UIDAI is integrating verified government databases with the app. This will allow automatic fetching of documents such as birth certificates, PAN cards, passports, driving licences, ration cards under PDS, and MNREGA records.
