Samsung is expected to officially unveil the ultra-slim flagship Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge on May 13, 2025. While reports suggest sales will begin in South Korea on May 23 and in the US on May 30, a dummy unit has appeared online. Here’s what we know.
Samsung’s ultra-slim flagship has made an appearance in a hands-on video featuring a plastic dummy unit. The video shared by X user @techdroider shows the S25 Edge side-by-side with the Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Series models, giving us a closer look at how their designs differ.

The Galaxy S25 Edge has already been in the spotlight earlier this year, first showing up at the Galaxy Unpacked event and later at Samsung’s MWC 2025 booth. Its razor-thin design turned heads back then, even though visitors weren’t allowed to get a hands-on feel.

This new video gives a better idea of what to expect. Interestingly, the S25 Edge is only slightly shorter than the S25 Ultra and is said to be priced just below it.
One trade-off for the S25 Edge’s slim 5.84mm profile is its camera setup. It’s not as versatile as the Ultra or even the Plus model, and it doesn’t have a telephoto lens, a feature we recently saw on the OnePlus 13T. Still, at 5.84mm, this will be Samsung’s slimmest flagship yet, offering a refreshing change from the trend of bulkier phones.
The S25 Edge will sport a 6.7-inch 1440p AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, just like the other models in the S25 lineup. It will come with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
On the camera side, the S25 Edge will feature a dual rear setup with a 200MP main sensor and either a 12MP or 50MP ultrawide camera, plus a 12MP front camera. Galaxy AI features like Photo Assist will also be available. However, to maintain its thin design, Samsung has gone with a 3,900mAh battery that supports 25W charging, a smaller battery and slower charging compared to chunkier flagships.
Samsung plans to launch the S25 Edge through an online-only event on May 13. It will first go on sale in South Korea, followed by a US release. Rumours suggest the pricing will fall between €1,200 and €1,400 (approx ₹1,12,000-₹1,30,000). As for availability elsewhere, it’s still unclear. Samsung is reportedly making only 40,000 units initially to test the demand.
The Galaxy S25 Edge features a titanium frame and will be available in colours like Titanium Icy Blue, making it a stylish and bold addition to Samsung’s lineup.
