CMF by Nothing gave fans a brief surprise when the product page for the CMF Buds 2 went live on its official website. Although the page was quickly taken down, it revealed almost everything about the upcoming wireless earbuds including major upgrades in noise cancellation, battery life and sound quality. That’s not all. In a separate report, CMF Phone 2 Pro was spotted on the Geekbench website ahead of its launch on April 28th. Here’s a quick look at what we know about both devices so far.

The design of the Buds 2 sticks to CMF’s signature look, with a case available in Dark Gray, Orange, and a new Light Green colour. The earbuds come with 11mm “PMI” drivers, slightly smaller than the previous model, but now tuned with Dirac Opteo for what CMF says is “exceptional” sound quality.

One of the biggest improvements is in noise cancellation. The Buds 2 offer 48dB hybrid ANC, an upgrade over the 42dB in the previous version. They also bring Spatial Audio for a more immersive listening experience.
Battery life is another standout feature: you get up to 13.5 hours of playback on a single charge, with the case boosting total playtime to 55 hours, that’s 9.5 hours more than before.
Other upgrades include Bluetooth 5.4, support for both Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair, IP55 water and dust resistance and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The Buds 2 will also include ChatGPT integration, similar to what’s found on Nothing phones, adding an AI-powered edge.

Pricing from the briefly available listing was shown as £34 (down from £39), €39.95 (down from €49.95), and $59.99. Sales were expected to begin April 16. These budget-friendly earbuds seem to be part of CMF’s plan to build hype ahead of the Phone 2 Pro launch later this month.
