The victim was initially asked to transfer small amounts of money labelled as “registration fees” or “software upgrades.” However, these minor transactions gradually rounded up, which led to a total loss of ₹7 lakh.
Realizing he had been scammed, the victim filed a complaint with the authorities. Investigations are currently underway to track down the individuals behind the fraudulent website.
