The Ai+ Nova Flip 5G is set to make its India debut on April 9th alongside the Ai+ Nova 2 5G and Ai+ Nova 2 Ultra 5G. This will be the brand’s first flip-style foldable and the company has been teasing it since December last year. Here’s what we know about the device so far.

Ai+ Nova Flip 5G – Key Features via Flipkart Microsite

The Ai+ Nova Flip 5G already has a dedicated microsite on Flipkart that reveals several key details about its design, specifications and features.

In terms of design, the phone follows a familiar clamshell foldable form factor similar to other devices in the segment. When folded, it measures 7.2mm in thickness and weighs 193g making it relatively slim and easy to handle for daily use.

On the outside, the foldable features a rectangular cover display accompanied by a dual-camera setup. This includes a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary sensor. For selfies and video calls, the device houses a 13MP front-facing camera on the inside.

For display, we have a 6.78-inch AMOLED inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200 nits of high brightness mode. However, details about the cover display specifications are yet to be officially disclosed.

The flip phone is confirmed to pack a 4,325mAh battery. Powering the foldable is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset built on a 4nm process. This processor is designed for mid-range smartphones and flip-style foldables and is expected to handle everyday tasks and moderate workloads efficiently.

On the software side, the Ai+ Nova Flip 5G runs nxtQ OS, the brand’s in-house custom operating system focused on privacy. It remains to be seen how well this software has been optimised for a foldable form factor.
