Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED is the brand’s foray into foldable laptops. The product has been launched globally and the company is marketing it as the world’s first 17.3 inch foldable laptop. To present the customers with the best possible combination of technical specifications and ultimate design, the company has reportedly partnered with many industry experts including Intel. The brand has announced the launch of the product at a starting price of $3,499, which amounts to ₹ 2,78,297 approximately.
The international rollout of the laptop will commence in the fourth quarter of 2022. Although the India launch of the product is yet to be announced, the Asus ZenBook 17 Fold OLED price in India is expected to be somewhere around ₹3,29,990.
Asus has interestingly decided to go with a minimalist approach for designing the Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED. A close company source revealed in the media that makers wanted the product to eliminate any restrictions that a traditional laptop usually has and at the same time offer a sense of flexibility making it a product for all your needs.
Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED is powered by a 12th Generation Intel Core i7 1250U processor that is complemented with an Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics card for optimum performance. It comes with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB PCle SSD storage. The laptop comes in two different screen sizes with one 17.3 inch 2.5K touchscreen that creates two seamless 3:2 displays when folded. The Dolby Vision certified display comes with a 100% DCI-P3 gamut and PANTONE validated for colour accuracy.
The company has added many features to the Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED that are powered by artificial intelligence and promises to offer a great user experience. These features include an integrated colour sensor for adjusting screen brightness automatically, an HD IR Camera enabled user presence detection capability, and a 5 MP AI webcam with 3D Noise Reduction technology by Asus for facilitating a better video call experience.
The segment of foldable laptops deals with many customer concerns as many people believe the life cycle of such products remains limited. Asus has specifically worked to counter these concerns.
Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED comes with a 180 degree hinge. What does this mean? According to the company, this 180 degree hinge provides the foldable laptop with “enough capability to withstand as many as 30,000 open and close cycles.” Asus has designed the laptop to provide users with multiple working modes. As a user, you can choose in which mode you want to work with the laptop as it can be used either as a desktop, or a laptop with Bluetooth keyboard, or a laptop with a virtual keyboard, or a tablet, or a reader. The product further comes with an Asus ScreenXpert 3 tool in order to assist users in arranging the windows on the screen.
