ASUS ROG Phone 6 is set to debut on July 5, here is what we know about the smartphone so far

ASUS is all set to launch its ROG Phone 6 next month. The brand will officially launch its latest edition to its Rog Gaming Phone: Asus Rog 6 on July 5.

The Asus Rog phone series is known for its ultimate gaming option for those who have a passion and talent for it. The series was a total blockbuster when it was first released in India. Any other device is yet to match the immersive gaming experience that Rog has in-built. Earlier, the brand announced the specifications and its availability.

Asus ROG Phone 6, will be launched as the successor to the ROG Phone 5. The upcoming ROG Phone 6 will have the flagship processor Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

Joining the league of the premium devices such as Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, OnePlus 10 Ultra, Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, and the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, the Asus ROG Phone 6 will be launched alongside gaming headphones and new accessories.

Here is what we know so far about the upcoming gaming phone:

Talking about the battery, the Asus ROG Phone 6 will have a 6,000mAh battery supported by the 65W fast charging. The soon-to-be-launched phone is also likely to have two USB Type-C charging ports to charge the phone.

Similar to its predecessor ROG Phone 5, the Asus ROG Phone 6 is said to have the same rugged. According to the report, the handset will feature a secondary display and a compartment that would be separate from the camera module. The ROG logo will also be featured on the rear panel of the phone. The leaked image of the phone was sourced from TENAA.

The leaks suggest that the ASUS ROG Phone 6 will be launched in two different variants, including the ROG Phone 6 and the ROG Phone 6 Pro. Both the models are likely to feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

Any specification is yet to be confirmed any specifications of the upcoming smartphone but the phone has surfaced on various certification websites like Geekbench, 3C and TENAA.

A large 6.78-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a high refresh rate of 165Hz are other features of the Asus ROG Phone 6 is expected to feature. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset coupled with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The smartphone is reported to feature a 64-megapixel camera.

Asus’s ROG gaming smartphones are known for their high refresh rate, of course, that’s why you get the ultimate gaming experience without any lag. Also, ROG 5 and 5 Pro came with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. Hence, we can expect ROG Phone 6 will feature a minimum 144Hz of refresh rate and since it’s a higher model so we might witness even more of that.

Asus ROG Phone 6: Price details and availability (Expected)

Keeping such high specifications and additional capabilities, this gaming phone may be priced at around Rs 50,000 for the base variant. Talking about the high-end model may cost you around Rs 70,000 in India.

ROG Phone 6 will be available in Taiwan, US and Germany. At the moment there is no information about when Asus is going to launch its ROG Phone 6 in India.
