John Hancock has recently expanded its offer to include the latest Apple Watch models, like the Series 9 and Ultra 2, in its Vitality Plus life insurance program.
This program rewards customers with an Apple Watch for maintaining regular exercise routines.
Customers of John Hancock’s Vitality Plus program can get an Apple Watch Series 9 or Ultra 2 by initially paying just $25 plus tax.
The rest of the watch’s cost is divided into monthly payments over two years. These payments can be reduced, or even eliminated, based on the number of exercise points earned each month.
Engaging in various physical activities like walking, running, biking, or swimming can earn Vitality Points. The amount you pay monthly for the Apple Watch depends on these points.
For example, earning zero points in a month means a payment of $15.50 for the Series 9 or Ultra 2.
But if you earn 500 points in that month, your payment drops to $0.
A “Standard” workout, which earns 20 points per day, includes activities like walking 10,000 steps, burning a set number of active calories based on Health app data, or maintaining 60% of your maximum heart rate for 30 minutes.
An “Advanced” workout, earning 30 points per day, requires more effort, such as 15,000 steps, higher active calorie burn, or maintaining 60% of your max heart rate for 45 minutes.
For those opting for the more affordable Apple Watch SE, the monthly payments follow a similar structure but with lower amounts.
Zero points lead to a $9.25 monthly payment, while 500 points bring it down to $0.00.
To participate, you need to register for a Vitality member account, complete the Vitality Health Review, and then order your Apple Watch.
This innovative approach by John Hancock not only promotes fitness and health but also makes the latest Apple Watch models more accessible to customers committed to maintaining their physical activity levels.
You can get these Apple Watch models by joining John Hancock’s Vitality Plus life insurance program. Pay an initial $25, and then your exercise activities can reduce monthly payments over a 24-month period.
Monthly payments are based on the Vitality Points you earn each month by completing exercise activities. The more points you earn, the lower your monthly payment, potentially down to $0.
A Standard workout, earning 20 points per day, includes activities like 10,000 steps, burning a certain number of active calories, or maintaining 60% of max heart rate for 30 minutes. An Advanced workout, earning 30 points, requires more intensive activities.
