Apple has launched the MacBook Air M4 in India, just a day after introducing new iPad models. This latest update replaces the M3 MacBook Air, which was released in March 2024. Alongside the new launch, Apple has officially discontinued both the M3 and M2 MacBook Air models from its Indian store.
Additionally, Apple has introduced a new Mac Studio powered by M4 Max and M3 Ultra chips, bringing enhanced performance and Thunderbolt 5 support.
“MacBook Air is by far the world’s most popular laptop, and today we’re giving everyone even more reasons to love it, including a big boost in performance with the M4 chip, a new Center Stage camera, and a beautiful new sky blue colour,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.
“Combined with its thin and light, fanless design, all-day battery life, and the incredible capabilities of macOS Sequoia with Apple Intelligence, MacBook Air is unlike any other laptop. And with a starting price of INR99900, MacBook Air delivers more value to consumers than ever before, making this the perfect moment to upgrade or experience the Mac for the first time,” Joswiak added.
Pre-orders for the new MacBook Air began from March 5 with sales starting from March 12.

Apple has introduced a new Sky Blue colour for the M4 MacBook Air, offering a fresh look while maintaining the same design as its predecessor. Apple describes the shade as a “beautiful, metallic light blue that creates a dynamic gradient when light reflects off of its surface.”
However, hands-on images shared by YouTuber Andru Edwards suggest that it appears quite subtle, sometimes even looking grayish under certain lighting conditions.
