Apple has not skipped the annual ritual of releasing the Pride Collection 2024.
It celebrates diversity and equality for all in the LGBTQ+ community.
This year’s collection comes in two wallpapers for iPhones and iPads, and a special Pride Edition watch band and watch face on Apple Watch.
Among the headlining collection is the Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop band, that will launch on May 22.
According to Apple, the color scheme, which features pink, light blue, white, black, and brown threads, draws inspiration from many pride flags.
The pink, blue, and white hues are for transgender and non-binary people, and the black and brown for Black, Hispanic, Latin, and other communities that are affected by HIV/AIDS.
The words “PRIDE 2024” are laser-etched to the band’s lugs.
The Pride Braided Loop will be available for both 41mm and 45mm sizes at the cost of $99 in the US.
This watch band will be compatible with Apple Watch SE and the Series 4, or newer models.
The band will be available at US Apple Stores and on the company website on May 22, and it will be followed by a global release the day after.
The company did not disclose the pricing for the global market.
Along with the watch band, the company will also release new Pride-themed watch faces and wallpapers on iPhones and iPads.
This addition was really helping to enrich and spread a message of inclusion and diversity within the LGBTQ+ community even further.
Apple did preview some new features that the iOS 17.5 will bring, but did not release the release date.
The preview included downloading apps directly from developer websites rather than the App Store, and a hint of implementing a “Repair State” mode, which puts iPhones to sleep when being serviced.
The 2024 collection features a Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop band, special watch faces for the Apple Watch, and new wallpapers for iPhones and iPads.
The band will be released in the US on May 22 at Apple Stores and online, with a global launch set for the following day.
In the US, the Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop band is priced at $99 and is available for both 41mm and 45mm Apple Watch models.
The colour scheme includes pink, light blue, white, black, and brown, representing transgender, non-binary, and communities affected by HIV/AIDS, reflecting diversity and equality.
