Apple introduced Apple Intelligence last September with the iPhone 16 series but until now, it has only supported English in most regions. The Cupertino Giant did confirm that it is working on more language support and now we have a confirmation that the same will happen in April.

During Apple’s Q4 2024 earnings call, CEO Tim Cook announced that Apple Intelligence will support more languages starting in April. He said, “In April, we’re bringing Apple Intelligence to more languages, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese, as well as localised English to Singapore and India.”

Interestingly, Apple’s support page also mentions Vietnamese bringing the total to nine new languages. The update will roll out through a software update.

Apple Intelligence is currently available in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and South Africa. To use it, your device must be running iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2 or macOS Sequoia 15.2 or later.
