Apple has announced another major step in its ongoing push toward greater repair accessibility of its range of products. The Cupertino Giant has now added its latest iPhone 17 lineup to its Self-Service Repair Program.
So, if you are using either iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, or iPhone 17 Pro Max in the U.S., Canada, and select European countries, you can now purchase genuine Apple parts and repair your device yourself. Here’s all you need to know.

As we already mentioned, Apple now offers a complete range of official iPhone 17 components through its online repair store, covering everything from cracked displays and weak batteries to damaged cameras, speakers, and logic boards. Apple says the goal is to give users more control over their devices while ensuring that all repairs are done safely using authentic, high-quality parts.
Apple has also published step-by-step repair manuals for all four iPhone 17 models, guiding users through each repair process.
And if you don’t have access to professional-grade tools, there is absolutely nothing to stress about. Apple now also offers a seven-day toolkit rental for $49 in the U.S., making the service more affordable for those attempting a one-time fix.

Users in the U.K., France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, and Switzerland. Users in these regions can directly order genuine Apple parts and tools through the company’s official repair portal.
This expansion reinforces Apple’s growing support for the Right to Repair movement, which advocates for easier and more transparent device repairs.
