AMD has announced an expansion of its desktop portfolio at CES 2024, introducing new products designed to enhance the experiences of gamers, content creators, and everyday users.
The highlight of the announcement is the launch of the AMD Ryzen 8000G Series desktop processors, including the Ryzen 7 8700G, which features powerful built-in graphics.
Additionally, AMD is incorporating a dedicated AI neural processing unit (NPU) into desktop PC processors for the first time, with the introduction of Ryzen AI.
Also announced by AMD is the Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics card offering advanced features for 1080p gaming and beyond.

The Ryzen 8000G Series processors are positioned as a comprehensive solution for desktops, offering up to eight cores and 16 threads.
These processors are based on the “Zen 4” architecture and optimized for efficiency.
The Ryzen 7 8700G, for example, includes eight cores, 16 threads, 24MB of Cache, and Radeon 780M graphics.
The Ryzen 5 8600G features six cores, 12 threads, 22MB of Cache, and Radeon 760M graphics.
Both models are equipped with the first NPU on a desktop PC processor, enhancing AI software capabilities in PCs.
