OPPO has started teasing the upcoming Reno 17 series design ahead of its upcoming November 9 China launch. A new teaser video showcases the rear design of the smartphones with a unique glowing effect. The lineup is expected to introduce two models as per reports, the OPPO Reno 17 and OPPO Reno 17 Pro. As of now, OPPO has kept most of specs and hardware details under wraps but leaks have hinted at details such as 200-megapixel rear cameras, large batteries and Android 17-based ColorOS 17.
OPPO Reno 17 Series Design Officially Teased
OPPO has released a teaser video revealing some design details of its upcoming Reno 17 series. The video offers a partial look at the rear panels although the company has not yet shown the complete design of either smartphone.
The most noticeable detail is a cat-like glowing effect on the rear panel. The illuminated treatment appears under blue lighting and could be linked to the rumoured Encounter Cat Edition. This special finish could give the Reno 17 series a more distinctive look compared to the standard colour options
Other than that, the camera module as per the teaser appears to follow a familiar layout with refinements to the rear finish and overall appearance.
OPPO Reno 17 and Reno 17 Pro Design Details
The Reno 17 and Reno 17 Pro are expected to share a similar design approach although their display sizes and some hardware specifications may differ.
The teaser indicates that OPPO is retaining the familiar rear camera arrangement while experimenting with different finishes. It remains unclear if the teased glowing cat-inspired effect will be available on both models or reserved for a particular version.

OPPO Reno 17 Series Colour Options
The OPPO Reno 17 series is expected to arrive in five colour options with conventional and special editions. The rumoured colour options include:
- Snow White
- Ice Moon White
- Cocoa Brown
- Starlight Pink
- Encounter Cat: The rumoured special edition that could feature the glowing cat-like effect shown in the teaser.
As of now, it not confirmed if OPPO will have all these colours for both the Reno 17 and Reno 17 Pro or just one particular model.
