Samsung is focusing on one of its most anticipated smartphone lineups, the rumoured Galaxy S27 series. The standard Samsung Galaxy S27 has now reportedly received approval from India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) also. This is now the first model from the series to appear on the Indian certification database hinting at its India launch.

The listing does not reveal any hardware details but the smartphone has already surfaced on other certification platforms. Based on earlier appearances, leaks and rumours, some of the key specs have also emerged even though there is no official confirmation. Here’s what we know so far.
Samsung Galaxy S27 Spotted on BIS Certification Website
The Samsung Galaxy S27 carrying model number SM-S952B/DS has reportedly cleared India’s BIS certification. This is the first smartphone from the expected Galaxy S27 lineup to receive this approval.

While the BIS listing does not disclose the phone’s specifications, its appearance suggests that Samsung is preparing the device for the Indian market. The same model number has also been spotted on other certification databases that revealed some of its expected hardware details.
However, Samsung has not officially announced the Galaxy S27 or confirmed its launch timeline.
Samsung Galaxy S27 Specifications (Expected)

The Galaxy S27 previously appeared on the NBD database and the listing revealed a 6.3-inch display. The smartphone is also tipped to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2700 chipset.
It further hinted that the device could come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
Another important detail emerged from its appearance on China’s 3C certification database. The listing indicated support for 25W wired charging, which was later corroborated by UL Solutions.
If this information is accurate, the Galaxy S27 could retain the same charging speed as its predecessor Galaxy S26.
Samsung Galaxy S27 Camera Details (Expected)
According to earlier rumours, upcoming Galaxy S27 may feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera using a Sony sensor. This would mark a change from the Samsung ISOCELL sensor used in its predecessor. However, the other rear cameras are expected to remain largely unchanged.

The Galaxy S27 is tipped to feature a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. For selfies and video calls, it could retain a 12-megapixel front-facing camera.
These camera details are based on leaks and have not been confirmed by Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy S27 Launch: What To Expect
As of now, there is no official launch data for the S27 Series smartphones. The BIS certification, however, hints that at least the Samsung Galaxy S27 model will arrive in the Indian market from the lineup.
Samsung has also not confirmed any hardware details as well so we will have to wait for more updates to know about the possible chipset, camera hardware or other specifications. More information is expected to emerge as the Galaxy S27 series moves closer to its official announcement.
