In a recent post on X, tipster Yogesh Brar @heyitsyogesh has revealed that OnePlus 16R could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
The upcoming smartphone is also tipped to feature three 50MP rear cameras including a telephoto sensor. The addition of a telephoto lens could improve portrait photography and provide better zoom capabilities for distant subjects.
On the display front, the OnePlus 16R is expected to feature a 165Hz refresh rate, matching the refresh rate offered by its predecessor. The phone could also pack a battery larger than 7,500mAh. Some reports have previously claimed that this upcoming model could even feature a 9,000mAh battery, although this remains unconfirmed.
