Beats 360 Headphones Launched in India at ₹42,900 With Interchangeable Cushions and 32-Hour Battery

Beats has launched its new Beats 360 over-ear headphones in India at ₹42,900, bringing interchangeable ear cup and headband cushions, active noise cancellation and sweat and water resistance. The headphones are designed for use across workouts, travel and everyday listening, and come with up to 32 hours of battery life even with ANC enabled.

The Beats 360 also marks the company’s first over-ear headphone with an IPX4 rating, while its interchangeable cushion system allows users to replace both the ear cup and headband cushions.

Beats 360 Price in India and Availability

The Beats 360 price in India is set at ₹42,900. The headphones are available in four colour options, including Black, Cloud, Pink and Sky, with each variant coming with matching Performance Knit cushions.

Beats also sells additional cushion kits separately, priced at ₹6,900. These kits include interchangeable cushions for both the ear cups and headband and are available in different colours and materials.

The headphones come with a woven ripstop fabric carrying case in the box. The USB-C charging cable and additional cushion kits are sold separately. The headphones can be purchased online in India through the Beats official webstore, Apple store online and at select Apple physical stores.

Interchangeable Cushions Are the Biggest Highlight

The Beats 360 introduces interchangeable cushions for both the ear cups and headband, allowing users to remove and replace them without replacing the headphones.

The headphones come with Performance Knit cushions made using memory foam and a breathable knit material. Beats also offers UltraPlush cushions as an alternative, with additional kits available separately.

The interchangeable design can also be useful for users who want to keep a spare set of cushions after workouts or change the colour and material of the headphones.

The Beats 360 uses a fold-flat design and comes with a woven ripstop case for carrying the headphones.

Beats 360 Gets Advanced ANC and Spatial Audio

The Beats 360 comes with Active Noise Cancelling, which is designed to reduce surrounding sounds during listening. It also gets a Transparency mode for allowing ambient sound through when required.

The headphones support Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking, which can provide a more immersive audio experience with compatible content. The acoustic system uses custom-designed dual-magnet dynamic drivers and a high dynamic range amplifier.

For calls, the Beats 360 uses a total of nine microphones, including microphones dedicated to Active Noise Cancelling and voice pickup. The headphones also feature a dedicated voice microphone and beam-forming system for calls.

32-Hour Battery and IPX4 Rating

The Beats 360 can deliver up to 32 hours of listening time on a single charge, even with Active Noise Cancelling and Personalised Spatial Audio enabled. Beats states that battery life can vary depending on settings, environment and usage.

The headphones also support Fast Fuel, with a five-minute charge providing up to one hour of playback.

The Beats 360 is the company’s first over-ear headphone with an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance. This makes the headphones suitable for workouts, running and use in light rain or situations involving water splashes.

However, the IPX4 rating does not make the headphones waterproof. Beats also notes that sweat and water resistance can decrease with normal wear over time.

Apple and Android Features

The Beats 360 supports both Apple and Android devices, with platform-specific features available on each.

On Apple devices, users get features such as one-touch pairing, Automatic Switching, Audio Sharing, Find My and hands-free Hey Siri. On Android, the headphones support Fast Pair, Audio switch, Find Hub and voice assistant features.

The headphones use Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless connectivity, while Android users can also use the Beats app to adjust settings and customise supported features.
